A big, friendly grin from the capital of Finland! I have also lived in the USA (Missouri), England and India.

Pet household - I try my best to prevent an occasional cat hair traveling with my swaps, but those seem to have a life of their own so sometimes they just decide to travel and I apologize for that.

My obsession is fall (autumn), I love anything fall related :) My favorite holiday is Halloween, especially anything pumpkin related :) Other than that, I love doing crafts (knitting and crocheting mostly) and anything nature-related: hiking, camping, picking berries and mushroom... I am also obsessed with lighthouses.

My favorite colors are bright yellow, mustard, lime, grass green, red, terra, orange, brown, teal, turquoise, rainbow (yeah, I know rainbow is not a color, but I love rainbows :)

I am an elementary school teacher, so anything my job related is very welcome :) All students get everything they need for free here, but I love to organize little raffles and give cute pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, note books and rulers (cm, not inch) as rewards every week so those are always welcome! I teach a bilingual class (all subjects, grades 1-2) , Finnish and English, so teaching material and ideas are well appreciated! I am also a criminologist and criminal psychologist.

...doesn't go anywhere during the weekends. If I mark my swaps sent on a Saturday or a Sunday, or after 5 p.m. on a Friday, I have mailed them but the stamps aren't franked/cancelled and the mail isn't sent forward from the post office until the following Monday. This, at it's most unfortunate, may cause a false impression that I haven't sent my swaps in time :-( However, I try to drop everything to the post office during the week days. Also, there are some bank holidays in Finland, and on bank holidays the mail doesn't travel either.

****NOTE: Finland uses the DD.MM.YYYY date format, so a postal stamp marked 12.9. means it was sent on September 12th****

I am a mad recycler, so I will reuse package material and use cardboard boxes which originally held something else often, unless the swap requires something fancy or specific. I hope this is not a problem :)

...please send me a private message before getting mad. The reason is not that I have not sent my swap, the reason must be problems in the mail chain.
