Comment: Meredith - what a wonderful journal! I couldn't put it down! I also LOVE the biscornu (?) - my mom and I were looking at it in amazement - can hardly see the seam where the squares are put together, the embroidery is beautiful, and what a neat design! I wish there was a way to pack up some of the rhubarb that grows on it's own in my Ohio backyard and ship it to you! And I used to live in California, once in Millbrae and once in Oceanside, so I know Santa Cruz (at least, I knew it about 35-40 years ago!) - and my parents were married in Monterey in 1955. Anyway, I loved that the journal was very creative and off-the-cuff - lists of likes and dislikes, real stories of your life! If you'd like, I'd love to be occasional penpals (as our lives warrant) - even though we're about 25 years apart, we have so much in common (favorite authors, science fiction, rhubarb...). Just let me know - I don't write much (even though it looks like it here), but it could be fun. Jan
