Description:

On your ATC you will stamp an image using Versa Mark or your favorite watermark ink (what you use for embossing). Using a small paint brush, apply the Pearl Ex onto your stamped ATC.

It takes very little of the Pearl Ex powder to cover the image. The powder will adhere to the Versa Mark. I used 2 colors for this sample but the lighter color is hard to see. You may use just one color or many. Experiment & have fun.

Tap off the extra powder or use a small clean brush being careful not to brush your image. You will have to spray this finished project with a sealant so it will not smear.

One ATC to one partner. You may add embellishments but the focus should be the Pearl Ex image.

Actually, I've done this technique and you need a binder to hold the pearl ex on once the versamark dries. I made about 40/190 wedding favours before I figured this out the hard way. The slightest touch will rub it off. If you use perfect pearls, mist lightly with water using a very fine mist. This activates the gum arabic inside the powder which is a binder that holds the powder to the paper. With pearl ex, use a fixativ spray or even hairspray. I buy the mini cans and keep one in my craft room. Apparently, from what I've read online, the cheaper the better. Just don't use it over alcohol inks or stamping ink like Staz-on. You can also add powdered gum Arabic to the pearl ex then it becomes water-mistable like Perfect Pearls.

Sorry. Don't know how I missed the part about sealing it. D'uh.
