A Letter a Day 2018 #1

We will write a letter a day (of course you can join some and skip some)!!!!!!

These letters will be 2 pages long and the pages must be notebook paper size! (at least) 2 pages meaning 2 fronts or 1 front and back.

You must write in cursive!

You will put the swap name and your user name at the top of the first page so that it is easier for everyone to rate! (THIS IS A REQUIREMENT)

What is the letter supposed to be about you may ask? ANYTHING THAT YOU WANT TO WRITE ABOUT! for example: you can write about your day, where you live, a shopping trip or maybe just what you love to do.

You can add extras if you like but it is NOT a requirement for the swap! I say this as I have found that some people only give hearts to those that send extra's!

Please, Please NOTE that January 1st is a holiday and there is no mail that day so if your partner has a post mark of January 2nd please do not rate DOWN!!!!

Also, I am a blue box sender because I have a job and if I mail it out the day that it is supposed to it will be postmarked the next day so lets all keep that in mind... Saturday sending after 11 am will be post marked on Monday or the next day the mail runs!!!!

***** I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO BAN ANYONE FROM THE SWAP WITH OR WITHOUT EXPLANATION!!!! THESE LETTERS ARE MEANT TO HAVE FUN WRITING AND TO ENJOY READING! LET'S ALL HAVE FUN *****

iamred 12/19/2017 #

Same here... Cursive is hieroglyphics for me

galadkria 12/20/2017 #

is there an international version?

MooreNature 12/21/2017 #

Does anyone know when they stopped teaching cursive? I know cursive is no longer taught in public school. I find it sad because historical documents...I want people to be able to read the past, not just be told about it.

I am so sorry that you were lost at the cursive part of this swap and hope that you will find more letter swaps that you can join! dalbright host her own letter swaps so I'm sure they don't have cursive handwriting as a requirement! You might want to check them out!

When I write cursive, half of mine ends up being printing. I don't know why I do that I just do, so I think I will sit this one out.

@MooreNature My oldest son is 21 now and he never learned in school. My 15 year old hasn't either.

What does it mean "a day"? Everyday you will have a different topic?

CatNipNinja 12/27/2017 #

Will we have the same partner the whole year?

Laural0uise 12/27/2017 #

why must it be in cursive? I am not necessarily opposed to that, it just seemed like an interesting/random requirement.

jaimierandolph 12/28/2017 #

MariaBronx a day means that there will be a swap set up for each day and you will have to join them all and most likely not have the same partner each time!

jaimierandolph 12/28/2017 #

CatNipNinja - no you will not have the same partner all year! There will be many swaps with this title as we will need 365. your more then welcome to join all of them and or skip some as well!

jaimierandolph 12/28/2017 #

LauralOuise It must be in cursive because I want to write in cursive and I want the letter that I get to be in cursive so I can use it for my goal to show our public school that people do use cursive and keep it in our public school

After reading all that, I have to join so someone can see my messy handwriting. Thanks for hosting.
