ABC: Mystery Supply Swap #2 used with permission from @wolfeagle In this swap, I will mail each participant one or more mystery supply item(s) that must be used to create your ATC/APC. You will use what I send to you, plus your own materials to create at least two artist trading cards or altered playing cards (three, if you’d like to keep one for yourself). One card you will mail to your swap-bot assigned partner. The other card you will mail to me in exchange for sending the mystery supply to you. My mailing info will be included with the mystery supply itself. You are not paying me for the supply itself but will send mail art to me to reimburse my cost in shipping the mystery supply item to you. With the exception of what is used to create the cards, the mystery supply item(s) are yours to keep. This includes any extra embellishments or arts and crafts products. The “supply” could be rubber/acrylic stamps, lace, stencils, rub-on transfers, stickles, paint, prills, charms, baubles, ink sprays, die cuts, stickers, ephemeral bits, fabric, or anything else that comes to mind! After partners are assigned I will try and **post what supply to expect in the mail; that way you can begin searching for some inspiration while it’s en route!** Although each person may not receive the same exact supply, I promise that each participant will receive something nice to use on their cards. I’m not into wasting time and postage mailing the same junk mail security envelopes or paper scraps that we all have a stack of! I have a good amount of supplies from when I taught art journalling locally and I’m eager to share them with my fellow artist-friends here on the ‘bot! 💌Even if I mail something in a package (like a bottle of stickles), I will do my best to keep whatever I send a “flat” supply so that you can send your cards out with a single postage stamp. Please make the cards with some interest, quality, and care. This swap is limited to 8 people. There will be a long swap time frame to allow for the mystery item(s) to reach you, and then time for you to create your cards and mail them out. And as a side note, I will close the swap signup, if and when we reach 8 people, and start the swap soon after. So, the start date first listed above may change, but the due date will not be any sooner. Please have fun with it! image of ATC made by participants using mystery supply from round 1. |
