Description:

Hi, everyone! I want there to be more newbie-friendly opportunities to rack up ratings before the December mail rush. There are SO MANY swaps right now that you need to have ratings to join. I'd love to help some people beat the clock.

I hope this swap is easy and fast for everyone!

You need 3 things: a notecard, an envelope, and stuff to put in it. You have TWO partners, one envelope each.

This entire swap is 1oz = one stamp. That's after the envelope is all ready to go, card included. Otherwise, if it weighs over, it could be returned for lacking postage.

Write a short note in a notecard. Put in only scrapbook / journal items you would like to receive (ex: no small torn bits of paper, 3" of yarn, etc.)

Ideas: - scrapbook paper samples - lace samples 5+ inches long - ephemera or junk journal items - book pages - small art, like sketches, ATCs, etc. - Washi samples

NOTE: Washi sample ideally can be wrapped around a thin piece of plastic, like the kind that comes over stickers, a playing card, a plastic gift card, etc. If it is wrapped around a cardboard piece or a journaling tag, the tape that covers the non-plastic surface will likely stick and tear off the card. If this is what you have to work with, please allow extra length to compensate! <3

Your notecard (no extra envelope needed! Great for those 'random' notecards:

Must have a short note saying something like hello, enjoy the swap Must include your SWAPBOT username Must include the NAME OF THE SWAP! <3

That way, the person who gets it will know who sent the envelope, and which swap it's for!

Please make sure your envelope meets the following:

  • decorated, even minorly, with stamps, drawings, washi tape, or stickers. No need to be super-pretty!
  • 1oz or less for one stamp. 1oz even or more might require additional postage.

You can choose to send a heavier item but please remember that this is newbie-friendly, and it's open to everyone at all income levels.

That's it! Any questions, please message or comment!

If the sender sent on time and met all requirements of the swap, please rate well. Do not rate down for items you don't like. Please just pass them on. This swap is SENDER'S CHOICE, meaning it is not tailoured to your profile.

New users:

Please do not send any items that may have cigarette smells or perfume scents, pet hair, former food packaging (like cardboard items cut from cereal boxes), etc. These items can be a health risk to other swappers.

i hope we get partners before the swap is due to be sent.

I just realized, I sent my note on letter paper instead of a card. Do I need to send a card as well? It would be separate, since I have already mailed the envelopes.

Hi Sunlion! No one on SB gets notifications for comments. Please message all hosts directly with questions or comments.

I'll message you, but in short, I wouldn't count it against you! But I'd message the swapper you're partnered with, just to keep communication open. <3
