A tintype is a 19th-century photographic method that captures a direct positive image on a thin, black-lacquered sheet of metal. Also called a ferrotype, it relies on wet-plate collodion chemistry and became wildly popular during the 1860s and 1870s as a fast, cheap, and durable form of portraiture Swap: create 2-3 faux tintype crafts for your partner. Your tintype can be people, animals, or plants. Embellish lightly because we are creative!
