I'm fairly new here and got a bit discouraged when trying to find swaps to join and all I ever saw was the boldface warning that I could not join that swap because I did not meet the minimum requirements. I get it, but how can I reach the minimum if I can't find any that'll take me?! So now that I've got a few under my belt and now can host swaps, I wanted to do one specifically for new people and those seasoned vets who enjoy supporting newbies just starting out. This is USA only to ensure a quick turnaround. You'll be matched with one person and what you send is up to you, but please, make it happy and personal. Write your partner a short note about something you're passionate about and include a couple of tuck-ins. Send your partner some happy mail with items you enjoy receiving. If you're a vet and are matched with a newb, write a note with tips and things you've learned about this site. Etc. Etc. Just take the time to send something personal and nice that your partner will enjoy receiving. And, please, HAVE FUN with it! Because it is sender's choice, please be mindful of SwapBot's rating rules: You should give a 5-star rating if your partner sent the correct items on time and followed all rules listed in the swap, even if you personally don't love what you received. If your partner put forth the effort, reward them with a 5 as you always should. | |
