I have no clue how to talk about myself to other people. So I decided that the only way to give a good picture of myself to others is to talk to the world the way I talk to myself. That is why I have decided to quote a few lines from my private journal because it is a whole book about me by me.

I feel like my life has been on hold for a long time. I need to take the proper stems to make up for so much lost time. This is the only life I have and I haven't been living it at all. Things are different now. Having something to do is wonderful.
So that's me. Well, a little moment of me.
I happen to have two degrees. One in Literature and one in Rhetoric (which no one believes is a real topic of study but I have a diploma to prove that, yes, you can get a degree in writing). With that being said, I have and insanely eclectic taste in books and a secret love for all things trashy and naughty.
I think this comes from 4 years reading nothing but "classical" literature. I adore paranormal romance and science fiction. I can get lost in a good fantasy and a good biography can inspire me to some surprising things. My only requirement for a good book is that it doesn't make me cry. I hate to cry and don't want to do it while trying to escape in a good book.
Here is a list of some of my favorite authors. They are my favorite because I have read just about every book these people have written.
1.] Orson Scott Card
2.] Octavia Butler
3.] Christopher Moore
4.]Neil Gaiman (liked him way before Stardust made women everywhere fall in love with his work)
5.] Jane Austin
Can't think of anymore right now but I'll keep updating my list as it come to me.
Pinning down good music is a lot easier for me then books. I can't sing, I don't play an instrument and I can only read the most elementary of music compositions (I used to date a bass player he tried to teach me and some of it stuck). With all that being said, I'm still totally a music snob. I once stopped dating a guy because he told me his favorite musical artist was JaRule. (Eww... I have standards)
So here is my list of current favorites feel free to judge me based on this because I will totally be judging you based on you musical choices.
Jay-Z
Lupe Fiasco
Kid Cudi
Drake
Pharrell
Kanye West
Yes I'm very fond of my hip-hop but it isn't all that I listen too its just what I listen to the most.
I like to make things, I like to receive letters, I like the way my handwriting looks on fresh paper. I have a great eye for color and uncanny skill with my hands. All these traits combined into making me a craft addict but I do have a few favorite past times that have followed me throughout the years.
1.] Knitting
2.] Sewing (mostly quilts)
3.] Writing (mostly unpublished, otherwise its a job not a hobby)
4.]Spinning
5.]Photography
6.] Looking into bookbinding ( its another hobby that I don't need but like to learn how to do things)
Most people are going to spend their entire lives hiding who they really are...believing virtue is simple repression, masking our true nature. I've gone the other direction. Expose yourself. Destroy your image
I'm not a very picky person but I do have some very specific tastes.
For example, I don't hate Twilight but I think Edward looks like a malnourished drug addict. Its nothing against the book I just don't like the actor that represents the character. ( I don't do pale)
I also really enjoy paper products, handmade or other wise, but I don't like cheap things. I don't expect someone to spend gobs of money on a swap but I probably won't be overly excited about a half used block of posted notes.
I love stickers. Just not the kind that 11 year old girls would paste on their notebooks. In fact I don't like things made for children in general. I can do Japanese type stuff but please no characters that appear on teen Nick.
I don't have major color preferences but I enjoy hot pinks and just about any shade of green.
I really like unique and strange things. Handmade is always my favorite as long as its well done.
I'm a sucker for photography and pencil and ink drawings. I'm generally impressed by the amount of the thought and effort it seems a person put into their work. If the person took time to think about something and they cared about it than I'll probably care about it too.
Did I mention I like nice writing paper.

I am going back and tracking the origins and destinations of my swaps. WE did a creepy photos swap back in '10. If you don't mind, could you share your city/state? Thanks so much.
I'm your partner for the One Dollar Swap. I haven't received anything. I will PM you also.
Hey, I saw that your wall is blank so I'm sayin' Welcome to Swap-bot. :D I'm one of your Alternate Pen-Pals, so you should get a letter in the mail next week from me. Hope you have fun here! :D
