I am 26 years old and I live in Massachusetts with my boyfriend, but grew up near Newport, Rhode Island. It is beautiful there and endlessly inspiring to me. I have my bachelor's degree in Textile Design from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I am a pillow designer professionally but have a major passion for handmade goods, especially quilts and accessories. I love to travel and love to learn about other cultures. I really love animals. All types, except centipedes. I have a real phobia of them. I really enjoy going to yardsales and fleamarkets as well as craft sales. I see pattern in everything.

I love making quilts, accessories, beaded/pearl jewelry, taking photos and recently conquered learning how to knit something more than a scarf. My favorite fabric store of all time is Purl Patchwork. I love recieving and buying handmade jewelry, journals, FABRIC!!!

I tend toward more modern styles and prints. Bold, large areas of color and graphic florals. I love Marimekko fabrics and Denyse Schmidt. I love Japanese textiles and design theories however I really do NOT like typical Americanized Japanese or Asian fabrics and patterns. Although Hello Kitty is always good in my book! :) In my quilts right now, I'm really enjoying the stark contrast of white accents to more colorful fabrics.
