Hello, my name is James, I live in Wales UK with my two fat spoiled house rabbits. In my day to day life I am an antiques dealer specialising in gothic and weird victorian and edwardian items, halloween, ethical taxidermy, medical items and such. My shop is actually called Danse Macabre! By night I am a burlesque performer, my name is Avarice and I really enjoy what I do. I am heavily tattooed and love my ink as well.

I am transgender and queer, and my identity is important to me, for this reason I do NOT want to recieve anything related to JKRowling or her works in my swaps, not even free extras.

I love all things Halloween, autumn, cosy, I am the sort of man who uses pumpkin scented candles all year around.

My favourite colours are jewel tones and muted/pastels, anything but neons and brights! I am an animal lover and would be happy with pretty much anything animal related but my favoutires are rabbits (of course), goats, corvids, snakes, stags, deep sea creatures, owls, bats and bugs!

Please do not send me anything perishable (or handmade) food/body products, not that I think they would make it to me in one piece. My favourite kind of extras are vintage/antique ephemera I can use in my art! NO AI PLEASE

I make collage and assemblage art with a gothic, whimsical, steampunk aesthetic and love to use things I find when antiquing like old book pages, music sheets, adverts etc, some pieces could be 200 years old! As well as my paper crafts, I also sew on a professional level, I make costumes for theatre, opera and ballet as well as for mysel. I have won over 20 national awards for my costume making here in the UK. I love embroidery and cross stitch, but sadl cannot knit or crochet, though my mother does if you have yarn scraps to spare! She makes them into garments for the homeless.

My favourite tv shows are Bob's Burgers, Over the Garden Wall, Owl House, Interview with a Vampire, What We Do in the Shadows. I am also a lover of nature docuementries, especially David Attenborough, Blue Planet is a rewatched comfort show!

I like movies and I will try most things, thoughI havent got the disposition and stomach for heavy gore/blood. I love historical romance and horror like Sleepy Hollow, Crimson Peak, The Village, Addams Family, Phantom of the Opera, Edward Scissorhands. If it is full of gothic yearning, melancholy and beautiful costumes, I will probably enjoy it! I am also somewhat of a Disney adult having not experienced it much as a child, I especially like the golden age. I have a tatto of Phantom Manor from Disneyland Paris!

I have a masters degree in gothic literature and my favourite auther is Edgar Allan Poe, though all the classics are fantastic. I also love fantasy books and grew up on Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld series.
