I am twenty-five and graduating with my B.A. in Art History this spring. I plan to get my Master's in Library and Information Sciences. I love books (obviously!) as well as art, cooking, crocheting, soap-making, finding new music, nail polish, gardening, following politics, playing the ukulele and the piano, video games, craft beer, and coffee. My boyfriend and my cat are my favorite buddies to kick back and watch a good movie with.
I love LOTS of different types of music - finding new bands and artists to listen to is definitely a hobby of mine. Some of my favorites include Helios and Goldmund, Radical Face and Electric President, Menomena and Ramona Falls, The National, Rasputina, The Raveonettes, and Neutral Milk Hotel. I also like jazz and blues, oldies, various electronica and techno, rap and hip-hop, folk and old-style country, noise- and dream-pop, 90's grunge rock, and shoegaze.
I'm a big fan of Haruki Murakami and Cormac McCarthy. I also like Margaret Atwood, Kurt Vonnegut, and Toni Morrison. Pontypool Changes Everything, House of Leaves, American Gods are some other favorite fiction, and Columbine, The Art Instinct, and Society without God are great non-fiction!
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey are, I think, totally underrated movies. They're really funny! I like foreign films, too, like The Seventh Seal and The Triplets of Belleville. I could list a million favorite movies!
Mystery Science Theater 3000 is my all-time fave! Except for maybe Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Oh, and The West Wing. I also like anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion, comedies like 30 Rock and Community, and "reality" tv like Project Runway and RuPaul's Drag Race.
Crochet and soap-making are my big ones. I also like collage and scrap-booking, sewing, painting, and deconstructing t-shirts.
