Hello people! Greetings from Taiwan! My name is Elanor and I'm a student major in literature and sociology. My school is located beside a bay in Kaohsiung, a southern city in Taiwan. Therefore, I often spend time watching the ocean and enjoying the breeze.
I love eating and cooking. Both making and eating food helps relieve my pressure a lot. I also enjoy music and books. If you are interested you can take a look of the following fields for more details.
I enjoy snail mail a lot. I had participated on Postcrossing for more than 2 years so you can rely on me as a swap partner! However, since I live in Asia, it might take more time for my mails to reach their destinations or yours to arrive to me. Thus, please be patient. :-) If you did not get anything from me, please contact me and I'll happily resend. Thank you! :-)
I like rock music pretty much, especially 60's and 90's. Recently I'm trying to dig in hip-hop too.
The bands/artists I like are like Beatles, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, The Kinks, Jefferson Airplane. I also love Travis and The Smiths.
我也喜æ¡ä¸åœ‹çš„æ°‘è¬ å’Œä¸€é»žé»žå°ç£çš„嘻哈音樂。最近好喜æ¡ç¨‹ç’§å“¦ï¼
Basically I'm not very picky, and if you are kind enough to share some musicians you are likely to make my day! :-)
I enjoy reading pretty much and the range is quite wide. I like novels that simply tell a good story, but I also appreciate works with delicate literary rhetorics. I also enjoy poems a lot, no matter ancient ones or modern ones. Since I major in literature and sociology, I care a lot about the relationship between literary works and societies. If you have any opinion or ideas related to this topic, I'd appreciate if you share your thoughts with me.
By the way, among all the great novels, I enjoy stories about adventures on the ocean or sailors' life experience the most.
Ah! It may sound nerdy but I also love books related to literary theories, social theories and feminisms.
Here are some postcard ideas (these are just ideas, any postcard is welcome!)
Yet above all, the most important thing to me is what you write on it. To me, to exchange postcards is to build connection between people. I want to know more about the postcard, or about you--Why do you pick this for me? Is there anything you want to share with me? Or simply, what did you do day? How are you? Happy, or not so happy? Therefore, I'd like my postcards written, even if the swap requests them blank. If you are sending me some blank postcards, please try to pick those non-regional ones that I could send to others. Thanks a lot! :-)
Thank you to those who were kind enough to send me these things as extra surprises! If you want to swap something in the list just drop me a line so we can discuss. :-) Sorry that I cannot say yes to every request since my budget is sometimes tight.
