YA isn't really my genre either! Generally it reads too easy, but the Hunger Games were pretty cool and not too simple. The story line at least is more complicated than a lot of YA. I started The Iron King of Maurice Druon recently. I've only read the first couple of pages but it's really good. George R. R. Martin says it was his inspiration for Game of Thrones. Have you read the Game of Thrones books, or have you recently discovered something good?
