Hello from the We(s)t Coast of Canada! I live here with my husband, 5 kids and 4 cats and am, what you call, indoorsy (despite living by the ocean and the mountains). I love writing, creating, reading, napping, drinking tea, and listening to music and dancing in my living room. :) My favourite things to do is to make cards and send snail mail! I have been penpal'ing for years in the traditional sense (writing long letters) and find an absurd amount of happiness sending things! I am a positive encouraging person who loves to make people smile! :)

**my daughter has an account as well and we live together, so if you come across both of us and wonder about the same addresses, that is why! She and I are similar, but you will quickly see we have different styles and crafting skills! :)

I love papercrafts and am a cardmaker (my favourites are working with rubber stamps, water colouring, and heat embossing ...see my IG page listed above) @tHartInk If you like making cards also, join Card Making Fun where I host some swaps!

Journaling is another favourite of mine ---traditional writing as well as travel -- I'm just getting into Junk Journaling and I adore all of the flips and folds and envelopes and collages etc etc... I get amazed at the artistry other creators have in their pages! I am drawn to shabby/ vintage/ romantic/ scrappy styles the most.

My favourite book is Pride & Prejudice. I also love historical fiction (love Liz Curtis Higgs' Highland series) and have discovered Jaime Jo Wright (suspense mystery)

my favourite movies are the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Anne of Green Gables '85 series, Disney's Beauty & the Beast (animated and the live action), the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and the Sherlock Holmes series by Guy Ritchie. :)

I don't watch TV. Except for hockey -- when I can find a game. I'm a Canucks fan. :)

Music is the most important thing to me (besides snail mail!!!) I love listening to Citizens, The Gray Havens, CityAlight, Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Joshua Leventhal, Apashe and any music that has a strong beat and makes me move.

To be honest, I don't have a lot of dislikes and am not picky. Receiving mail is fun so don't stress! Whatever I don't use, I pass on.

*Bible verses and quotes

*flowers

*lace, crochet ribbon & paper doilies

*Canadiana stuff (eg: Roots, old HBC)

*little pockets/envelopes for journals (like glassine)

*faeries and cottagecore

*Classic Winnie the Pooh

*homesteading (I dream of having my own small farm!) gardening, herbal medicines, apothecary, husbandry, self sufficient living, old wives tales

My favourite colour is yellow followed by grey, pink, blue, and green.

WISH LIST: I would love *sari silk!! I have seen it on tutorials but don't know where to find any. *charms for dangles

If you speak a different language other than English, I would love to learn a word or phrase! Tell me about traditions or what it's like where you live! I love learning about other cultures and families!

I don't like vanilla or heavily scented things, horror stuff, witchcraft or ants or spiders

I don't know what is going on with the mail lately. I have had more mail sent back to me this year than I ever had in my many years of Happy Mail writing --- damaged or for no reason at all or even for not enough postage despite mailing it from the local post office!!! It's been frustrating! My apologies for any "late" swaps. I cannot control what Canada Post is doing with their system (wouldn't that be nice if we could?)
