Let me know if you ever want to do 1 on 1 ATC swaps - postage is a lot cheaper within england!! And once you've got a few swaps under your sleeve, you should join the british birds group! I'm not sure how many it is... I think it's 5 rated not including emails... but that's great for inter-UK swaps! :)

A sharpie is a permanent marker, and they come in LOADS of colours, perfect for artwork 'cause you can get really fine ones and they write on pretty much anything!! I got some while I was in Canada 'cause you can't get them much here in England :(
RE: sending to the USA... I tend to keep my envelopes plain as well, but make sure to put your return address on it!! I think you can decorate (I've received decorated envies from there) but I'd rather not, just in case...
