Hi! I’m Katrina 👋 I’m a mum of two – a 13-year-old son and a beautiful baby girl. I may not have thought the timing through though… I’ll be navigating the teenage years and the toddler years at exactly the same time! 😂 Please send help… and chocolate!

I work for the NHS in administration, but I’m currently enjoying maternity leave until April 2027. One of my favourite things to do at the moment is going to our local Baby Club at the cinema. We recently watched Toy Story 5 on my birthday, and it was such a lovely way to celebrate! I’m making the most of this chapter of life and enjoying lots of family adventures.

When I’m not being Mum, I love reading, travelling, crafting, building Lego, writing letters, and spending quality time with my family. I’m happiest when I’m making something creative or planning my next little adventure.

I’m definitely a rock girl at heart, and my favourite bands are Bring Me The Horizon, Metallica, Måneskin and Bad Omens. That said… I also absolutely adore anything pink, glittery and sparkly! So I like to describe myself as a rock chick with a pink sparkle. 🖤💖 Pink is definitely my favourite colour!

I’m also a big fan of true crime documentaries and horror films (the scarier, the better!), but I equally love cosy, cute things. It’s probably the strangest combination ever, but it suits me perfectly!

My favourite animals are giraffes 🦒 and goats 🐐, and I also love Pokémon! Charmander and Jigglypuff are my favourites (although I can never choose just one! 😆).

We are definitely a Lego household! I love sitting down with a new set and getting completely absorbed in building. My latest build was the beautiful Mona Lisa portrait (my favourite painting), and I’ve recently been gifted the Lotso Bear set and a Paris-themed set, which I’m so excited to start. Paris has a special place in my heart as I’ve visited twice already, and one day I’d love to explore even more of Europe. Italy is currently at the very top of my travel bucket list.

I really enjoy Disney, especially the Pixar films. There’s just something so comforting about them, no matter how old you are!

I’m genuinely happy to receive anything that someone has chosen with care. Thoughtfulness always means far more to me than value. I love putting lots of effort into swaps myself and really enjoy making them feel personal. I used to take part in themed Happy Mail exchanges elsewhere, and creating fun, colourful envelopes and parcels brought me so much joy. I’m really excited to be joining this community and getting involved here too!

I also have a few pen pals, and there’s nothing quite like finding a lovely handwritten letter or colourful envelope waiting on the doormat. Snail mail really does brighten my day.

To begin with I’ll mostly be joining postcard and notecard swaps. I especially love:

• Disney or Pixar
• Travel or city scenes
• Pretty florals
• Cute animals
• Anything that reminds you of me after reading my profile!

The only thing I’d prefer to avoid is insects and spiders… definitely not my thing! 😂

As for crafts, my favourites are paper cutting and drawing. My favourite artist is Paper Panda 🐼, whose work is a huge inspiration to me.

I absolutely love flowers too, especially poppies, roses and sunflowers. 🌻🌹

I join a lot of tea swaps so just wanted to add, I personally drink black tea with milk (known as a builders brew in the UK and my teabag of choice is either Yorkshire tea or Twinings English Breakfast tea) but I am always happy to receive random teas as I love adding them to my collection for the swaps and if I ever fancy a fruity tea to try then I’ve got them at my disposal 😄 always happy to receive ones you’d recommend or any unusual ones 💖

Most of all, I’m looking forward to making genuine connections through happy mail. Whether it’s a postcard, notecard or a bigger swap, I’m grateful for anything that’s been sent with kindness and thought. I can’t wait to get to know people from all over the world - happy swapping! 💖📬
