Time for a profile refresh! It was getting too "in this essay I will" here.

Hi! I'm Leigh Anne. I'm married with two cats. I work in a library. I still don't spend nearly enough time making art like I'd like to, but I'm getting better at that. I read A LOT and listen to a lot of music. The most important thing I can tell you about myself is that I love to learn new things, so while I hope this profile is helpful to you in terms of things I would especially like, I would also like to learn about the things YOU like, minus the few deal-breakers I've mentioned below.

4 mportant things:

1. I send my swaps on time, not only because I am terrified of getting a 1, but because this is a great community and I want to honor my commitments to it. If you don't get something from me, please reach out and I will gladly resend.

2. I ALWAYS reach out with tracking numbers when I send larger swaps, like notebooks, so you can keep an eye on the delivery. Nobody likes the stress of wondering when a package is coming, so I try to cut down on that.

3. If you're going to be late on a swap, just let me know. I don't even need to know why! Just give me a heads-up.

4. I take forever to rate playlist swaps because I want to actually listen to the songs involved and give you a detailed rating. If that's going to stress you out, please let me know and I will move your playlist to the front of the line. Music is very important to me and I like to give it the time and attention it deserves.

I love all kinds of music. You name it, I like it. I've even learned over the course of swapping that I like country music, and have just been listening to the wrong things. There's nothing I love better than learning about new or new-to-me music in a swap.

It's hard to pick favorites because I love to read in all genres and formats, including comics/graphic novels/manga, so anything bookish / library themed you can send me is wonderful. I never have enough bookmarks.

As with books, it's hard to pick favorites. My husband and I do a thing every year and try to watch all the Oscar-nominated movies when the nominations first come out. I've seen some great films that way but I couldn't pick a favorite if you paid me.

HBO's adaptation of His Dark Materials, The Good Place, Doctor Who, Torchwood, The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Babylon 5, all the Star Trek.

Cross stitch and collage are my main two, but I'm also really enjoying making washi postcards and junk journals for swaps.

Stuff that makes me smile when I get it: washi, book and music recommendations, stickers, bookmarks, goth aesthetic stuff (both traditional and "she went straight to pink"), bisexual swag, smart-alecky pro-autism swag, decaf coffee, chai/black tea. My favorite season is fall, so anything that smacks of coziness, pumpkin spice, warm socks, etc. is a vibe. My favorite artists are Mucha, Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, Degas, so any stickers/washi/cards featuring their art are especially appreciated. My most recent artistic obsession is Remedios Varo.

I really don't want to get food in the mail; it just seems weird to me. I'm also don't want to receive anything Harry Potter themed.

I am spiritual, but not conventionally religious. We can definitely talk about it, but I'm on my own path and not interested in joining yours. Unless I change my mind, in which case I will start that conversation. Thanks for respecting that.
