Please contact me if any of my swaps didn't arrive or if there's a problem with them. There are always ways to work everything out, but that only works if you let me know what's wrong! :)
IMPORTANT NOTE: Dec 1st. - Longer than planned but I'm back to swapping now (though I won't join too many swaps at once for now). Glad to be back after not being able to swap for a few month :)
Hey!
My name is Chris and I'm a 27 years old girl from Hannover, the capital of Lower Saxony in northern Germany. I was born and raised in a small village in the far west of my country, but in 2011 I thought it was time for a change of scenery.
I'm childless and single by choice.

Hamlet ♥ (my parent's dog but I absolutely adore him - btw his name is my fault...)
Struppi ♥ (my own dog) †2011
About my interests:
I mostly listen to alternative rock, ska punk and indie pop. Some of my favourite musicians are Streetlight Manifesto, Muse, Less Than Jake, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Killers, à Móti Sól, Rammstein and Die Ärzte. Other than that I enjoy the music of the 60s/70s (The Beatles, Nazareth, Led Zeppelin, Styx, Kansas, Blondie, Genesis, Simon & Garfunkel, Bonnie Tyler and so on), My Bloody Valentine and also love Ludovico Einaudi and all kinds of classic piano music (my favourite composer is Chopin). I also love music in different languages.
Some of my favourite books are: The Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini), The Book Thief (Marcus Zusak), The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (John Boyne), My Sister's Keeper (Jodi Picoult), Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (Jonathan Safran-Foer), The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde), The Alchimist ( Paulo Coelho), The Five People You Meet in Heaven (Mitch Albom), The Help (Kathryn Stockett) and the woks of Ken Follett, Walter Moers, Neil Gaiman & Stephen Clarke I also love fantasy novels like the ones written by Patrick Rothfuss, Peter V. Brett & Brandon Sanderson. I also adore classic children books (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Little Women, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, A Little Princess, The Little Prince etc.).
I rarely watch any TV shows, but I do enjoy to watch movies every now and then.
When it comes to cooking I enjoy trying new recipes from all around the world. I especially like Italian, Korean, Cajun and my own country's cuisine.
I'm an atheist, so please don't try to push your religion on me.
Please if you send a card to me, take the time to write a few words about yourself or about what is seen on the card. Tell me about your country, your favourite books/author, your favourite musician/song or share your favourite quote or poem with me. I love funny, interesting or just plain random facts. I like funny messages or just getting to know something about you! To me the message on the card is even more important than the picture on the front!
I love to collect postcards! My favourite topics are:
âž” City & landscape views (I prefer singleview cards with the name of the place written on the front). I especially like night views.
âž” Covered Bridges (I LOVE those!)
âž” Red Pandas, Raccoons, Puffins, Otters, Leopards/Snow Leopards, Hedgehogs, Manatees, Sloths, Wombats, Beluga whales, Seals (especially harp seals, leopard seals and harbour seals) Shiba Inus, Welsh Corgis, Dachshunds.
âž” Local Wildlife (Tourist cards showing local animals)
âž” Zoo cards showing animals (you can see my favourite animals above, but if you don't have one of those: I generally like big cats - though I'm not a big fan of lions - and other land and sea predators - please no insects and arachnids).

âž” Reynard Cards (literature & historical ones)
âž” Maximum cards with animals (card with matching stamp on the front)
I prefer my cards written and stamped with a nice message on the back :) Besides modern cards I also love vintage cards in good condition (if they match my likes). Please NO ad/free cards!
I love tea and am not really picky when it comes to what kinds of teas I like.
I mostly buy loose tea when it comes to plain teas and bagged tea when it's fruit flavoured. While I do love loose tea I would ask you to only send factory sealed/individually wrapped teas. So loose leaf tea is okay if it's factory sealed and not just put in a zip lock by you.
♥ I especially like: oolong tea, rooibos tea, black tea and green tea. I like them both plain and flavoured. My favourite fruit flavours are mango, peach and apple, but I also like pomegranate, cranberry, elderberry, cherry, kiwi, black currant, blackberry, dark and red fruits in general and orange a lot!
I pretty much like most fruit flavours and also like flavoured herbal teas (plain only malva, nettle or mint please or mixes with those and lemongrass, gingko, lemon balm, liquorice). I also enjoy fruit teas with cinnamon.
♥ You would make me really happy if you could send me:

Twinings: "Nettle & Blackberry", "Blueberry & Apple, "Strawberry & Mango", " Caramelised Apple Green Tea", "Intensely Raspberry & Dragon Fruit", flavoured Twinings Green Teas (Peach & Cherry Blossom, Pomegranate, Lychee and Mango)
Stash Tea: "Goji Berry Green Tea with Matcha", "White Peach Wuyi Oolong"
Greenfield Tea: "Sweet Temptation"
ANY brand of mango tea and peach flavoured tea!
Barley tea (Mugicha) in tea bags - I LOVE to drink it cold during summer but can't find it in our local asia stores!
While I can get those teas myself I also wouldn't mind receiving some Pukka teas. The ones I enjoy are: "supreme matcha green", "rooibos & honeybush", "wild apple & cinnamon", "Elderberry & Echinacea"
But there are a few flavours that I DON'T like:
✖ Vanilla flavoured/scented ones, lemon/lime, ginger, fennel, chili and marzipan
I really like all kinds of soft and hard fruit candy (especially apple!!!, melon!, plum!, cherry, blueberry, blackberry, peach flavoured). I'm addicted to sour candy and don't mind salty candies either. I enjoy (Black) Liquorice, Salmiakki, cookies (I love oat cookies) and (Butter) Shortbread. I love Snacks with cheese, tomato and onion flavours, I like white and milk chocolate especially with caramel or nuts (especially walnuts). Or nuts and drief fruits in chocolate (strawberries in white chocolate mhmm). I really like Maple flavoured snacks/candy and cookies with caramel or chocolate.

What I DON'T like :
I'm not a fan of dark chocolate or vanilla, chili or mint flavoured chocolate. I DON'T eat anything with marzipan, coffe flavour or alcohol. No peanut butter or Pop-Tarts for me! Don't really like bubblegum or breath mints and aren't one for fancy pralines or truffles.

♥ I like Toothless (How to train your dragon), Eeyore and Stitch
♥ Things related to Totoro (Studio Ghibli)
✖ Vanilla flavoured/scented teas, lemon/lime, ginger, fennel, chili and marzipan flavoured ones
✖ Dark and mint, vanilla or chili chocolate, marzipan, vienesse nougat, peanut butter, pop-tarts, mints, bubblegum
✖ Kawaii stuff (Hello Kitty & Co, I ONLY like Mameshiba and Kapibara-san)
✖ Coffee/Coffee flavoured things (I do like cappuccino and latte macchiato - but please no coffee flavoured sweets or plain coffee sachets).
✖ Earrings or necklaces
✖ Parfum, scented candles or other things with a very strong scent (I'm very sensitive to strong scents - especially artificial ones. I'll get an headache, feel sick and dizzy from strong scents so please don't send such things! )
I'm allergic to propylene glycol (as well as I have at least one other allergy or just very sensitive skin), so please DON'T send me creams/lotions, lip gloss/balm, liquid make-up, parfum, shampoo and other beauty/skincare products!
I'm always up for private swaps! I'm currently mostly interested in swapping postcards or pocket letters. I may also be interested in swaps for other things I've mentioned on my "What I would like" so just ask if you want to swap with me :)

Hi! Just wanted to say HI and I hope you're having a good summer!
Hello, Chris: I just received your vacation post card. It is beautiful!!!! Just like a fairy tale castle. How lucky you are to have such wonderful old castles. Alas, we have none in the US. I really enjoyed touring many areas in Europe, and saw gorgeous buildings, but never made it to Germany. My loss. Thank you for thinking of me. Hugs, Joy
Thanks for letting me know you received it, and I'm glad the seal made you smile :) He's a cutie, definitely.
Thanks for the lovely postcards! I especially like the Banksy style street art one, as I have been reading about him lately! Keep an eye out for a postcard from me!
Hello, thank you for returning my postcard to me. I loved your travel quotes. All the best to you. PTG:Return to Sender #3
