Hi! I’m Nicole, or Nikki.

I am relatively new to the Chicago area, so I am looking for things to do when the weather gets cold! I love the idea of pen pals and swapping things with people that have common interests. I am a mid/late thirties professional in a large city. I am from a small rural southern town…where I spent all of my life until 1 year ago. I relocated in August of 2014. I was laid off from said company in August 2015 (due to a merger). I was fortunate enough to find another job quickly. I am not a religious person, but I was raised in a Christian family. I love learning about different cultures and religions. I ask a lot of questions….like what is a friendship book?? (I know, there is a glossary for me to familiarize myself with SB terms). I am a natural introvert, so I think having structure and themes to these swaps will definitely help me bloom. I love sarcasm, humor, and whit.

Movies

I love to check out all movies (except Horror), but my all-time favorite is Spaceballs.

Music

I love all types of music. I love to see it in person. I love to see it on TV. I love to listen to music 24/7. My go to fav is alternative rock.

I DVR most of my shows and then binge watch them. I am a huge binge watcher. I try to get out and explore the city around me, but I also do not want to miss out on some good shows.

I love to try new combo flavors that local shops come up with, like Nutella Latte or Honey Chipotle Latte. Who thinks of this stuff?

Oh, and Maple Bacon cupcakes…but my favorite is Red Velvet. I try to eat healthy so I can do my cupcakes.

I like candy here and there.

Dark Chocolate is my preferred chocolate.

I actively participate in local Meet Up groups.

I LOVE to read mostly any and everything (Horror is the only exception).

I love to see interesting color combinations. Like, I’m not a big fan of yellow, but I LOVE it paired with a muted grey. Not a big fan of brown….but LOVE it with teal.

I love sparkly colors…glitter, pearl, metallic, anything like that.

Paper crafts (just got a cricut!)

Hi all Swapping Friends. I have been super busy at work. I am also trying to move in the middle of all of this...with a death in the family...just crazy times right now. I have a 1 that I am working on clearing because of the shop owner (Etsy) not responding [albeit I admit on not hounding her because of my current full plate].
