Hello. After traveling fulltime in our RV for the past four years, we have landed for a while in Western North Carolina. I am a retired RN, and now a travel advisor. I run an online travel business, birdiemaetravel.com, and do as much personal travel as I can!

I live with my husband and 12 year old son, Oliver. We homeschool.

We eat a plant-based whole food diet and I am always looking for new recipes or snack ideas. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. The kids have food allergies and we do not eat gluten, dairy, eggs, or any food dyes or artificial preservatives or flavors. I would also appreciate tips on good blogs that feature plant-based or vegan gluten-free recipes.

I am starting to make all our own cleaning products, as my son has trouble detoxifying and we are trying to limit our use of total chemicals in the home. Any recipes for cleaning products or personal care would be very appreciated. I am learning about essential oils and herbal medicine and would appreciate recipes and tips. I have begun to study homeopathy and would love any info related to homeopathy or remedies.

I very much enjoy gardening, although I do not have a lot of time to spend right now. But I would love any advice, tools, seeds or anything else related to gardening.

We love road trips and are always looking for good places to travel and visit. Any advice or information on interesting roadside attractions, state or national parks, or local attractions 'off the beaten path' are always appreciated.

We like to hike and enjoy the outdoors whenever possible. Let me know of any good trails near you. We might check them out if we ever travel in your area. We participate in letterboxing and I do carve rubber stamps. We have found some of the most amazing places through our letterboxing adventures.

crochet, rubber stamps. I recently started sewing and would love FQ's or fabric pieces, buttons, or other sewing goodies. I enjoy all kinds of yarn.

I collect postcards from around the world. I love all kinds of postcards, especially those that show me about the area where you live. I like landscapes, city views, monuments, historical buildings, tourist attractions, map cards, anything unusual or tacky. I also love cards showing close-ups of faces, children or babies, cowboys/rodeos, farming/ranching, black and white, animals, sea life, USPS cards, National parks, pure nature, fabulous skies and Disney cards!! I like to have my cards stamped and written.

l love everything Disney and will be delighted with anything received- postcards, stationary items, trading pins, socks, kitchen items/dishes, fabric, notions, stickers, collectables...I like all the characters, especially the classic ones and anything from Disney Parks.

Oliver loves fantasy, books, Dungeons & Dragons, pop culture trivia, history, cats (and all animals), games, trading cards, stuffies, theology and apologetics.
