Hello! I am Kat, mid 30's and living in Michigan where I was born and raised. Previously, I've lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and most recently I lived in Chicago, IL before moving back to MI in March 2026.

My favorite thing to do these days is read- see my Favorite Books Section below.

I also love spending time with my family. I am a huge lover of animals and the great outdoors. I am a type one diabetic.

I enjoy receiving any sort of letter or postcard- thank you very much for connecting with me. I really enjoy gifting blank cards and find it very satisfying when I can send someone unique cards I think they'd really like. Please let me know if you have something you collect and I'll check my stash- no need to swap for anything back!

• Weird, haunted or strange themes or locations
• Vintage/ old propaganda (War, Elections especially)

• Something/somewhere you enjoy or have a strong connection with
• Puns, "Dad Jokes"
• Music/ performing arts theme
• Places or things that no longer exist
• Vintage tobacco/alcohol/substance promotion or themed postcards
• NSFW/ Offensive or cards that some consider inappropriate
• Something that showcases your art or creativity
• Cozy- themed fall and winter holiday cards year round (Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween)
• Vintage or Modern American Football Teams themed cards- go Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Lions!
• LIBRARIES! Or book/reading related
• Urban Legends

I don't particularly collect these themes: - New religious cards, I do like older ones - AI art

If it is a written swap, I don't mind a very short message or doodles/stickers etc. I understand how sometimes we only have time/energy to spend on this hobby.

I am an avid reader and lately have been loving classic literature, especially Russian lit. I love a reflective thoughtful long novel. As of September, I've read 91 books.

My favorite authors are Daphne du Maurier, Dostoevsky, Steinbeck, and James Baldwin. I absolutely LOVE to discuss books. I use the app "Fable", a virtual book club app linked in my profile. I also linked my Storygraph profile, and my Goodreads (still updating).
