Hi there! I'm Jamie. I'm a 30-something, married to the computer geek of my dreams, and mom to one four-year-old boy. I have two dogs, Winnie and Mylee, who are my furry babies. We also have two cats, Oz and Willow, who apologize in advance for any stray strands of cat hair in my swap packages.
Other random "me" facts: I'm an avid postcard and autographed book collector. I love Postcrossing and Kiva. I'm a vegetarian and have been since college. My favorite colors are currently turquoise and bright (non-neon) yellow. I love to travel and do it as often as possible - so far my favorite destinations have been Scotland and Colombia. I'm a native Floridian, but I'm currently residing in Michigan and have lived all over the eastern United States. I'd love to someday live in Central or South America.
I always send out my swaps! If you don't receive a swap from me, please contact me before rating and I'll be happy to resend.
Pink Floyd. Queen. Ozzy Osbourne. The Who. Alice Cooper. David Bowie. The Postal Service. The Beatles. Cheesy 80s hair bands.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams). Last Chance to See (Douglas Adams). Tess of the D'Urbervilles (Thomas Hardy). Wonderland Avenue (Danny Sugerman). Good Omens (Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman). Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen). All the James Herriot books.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Boondock Saints. Young Guns II. Notting Hill. 180Ëš South. LA Story. Bandits. Travel and nature documentaries.
I love all kinds of postcards and will appreciate anything you want to send my way! However, if you're looking for some ideas, some of my favorites are:
If you drew my name for an animal postcard swap, moose, pigs, owls, flamingos, giraffes, goats, penguins, dolphins, and (non-cutesy) dogs are always great options!
Have an interesting non-English ad postcard in your stash? Feel free to send it my way (in an envelope if you wouldn't mind)!
I prefer my postcards to be sent written on and stamped (except for the ad cards mentioned above), but I'm also perfectly happy to receive them in envelopes if the swap calls for it or if you're sending me multiple cards (or even if you just really want to send one to me unwritten!).
Here's a bit of what I love (other than postcards and books, of course!) ... :)
Sending a profile based swap and need some decorative/theme ideas? Here are a few I enjoy ...
Overall, I'm pretty easy to please and I'm sure I'll love whatever you decide to send!
