UPDATE: I am now an official resident of California! I just resumed swapping and forgot to change my address on Swap-Bot right away so if you mailed something to my Ohio address it will get forwarded, it will just take a bit longer to receive :)

Update: I am a NEW DOG MOM!! We returned from Mexico in November with a rescue puppy named Pinto Bean. She is currently 6 months old and a miniature schnauzer/chihuahua mix. Everyone thought she was terrier but after the beard started growing and a DNA test....Mini Schnauzer!!! I AM IN LOVE!

I started here mostly to swap postcards but I'm loving some of the other swaps now too! I love happy mail and flat surprises. I've really enjoyed making my own envies so now I rarely dare let anything go out in a plain white envie....no no! I love to receive beautiful envelopes too, as soon as I open the mailbox I'm looking for a blast of color 🎨

My husband and I are now living in our 5th state since we've been married (and my 7th overall). We've lived in Florida (where we met), North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania and now Ohio since we've been married. Prior to that I lived in Illinois and California. We are now spending our winters in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We have 1 daughter who lives in Los Angeles with her husband. We travel a lot and I love picking up postcards from everywhere! My favorite beverage of choice is wine, I belong to a few wine clubs. I love trying different small vineyard wines from around the world and wine-pairing (I pick out the wine and my husband does the cooking, such a deal!) I drink NO soda, just water and wine and sometimes beer lol. I also drink coffee & tea, my tea preferences are green, red rooibos, and citrus/fruit flavored teas.

I am in Postcrossing and that is how I discovered Swap-Bot! I love Postcrossing :D In Postcrossing I've suggested a theme postcard for every month of the year and it has been fun so I am going to include it here for my Swap-bot friends as a guideline to the POSTCARDS I would love to receive :D PLEASE NOTE: Many of you have mentioned how much you like the monthly theme idea, and I want to encourage you to adopt the idea if you wish, the more the merrier!

January - Art & Artists

February - Beaches, Oceans, Islands, Boats, Marinas & Sunny Places

March - Dogs & Cats - realistic, funny, illustrations, silly, cartoons.

April - Tourist postcards/famous places from your town, city or country.

May - Bright Colorful & Vibrant postcards! Any Lantern Press postcards!

June - Black & White or sepia postcards

July - Illustration

August - Maps of your city, country, continent, subway system. Any kind of maps.

September - Street scenes, Everyday life.

October - Birthday, Autumn scenes, Pumpkins, spooky, scary, Halloween 🎃

November - Any Vintage postcards. Vintage travel, travel posters, movie posters, old advertisements, etc.

December - Traditional holiday or religious postcards from your country

If you don't have a PC that's fits in the given month I always enjoy unusual cards, 3D, odd shapes and textures, vintage, illustration, art & single view tourist from countries other than the U.S. the most. Thanks!

Oh and I adore stickers and washi tape, send me a postcard decorated with these and it's an automatic heart! This year I have REALLY become a sticker addict, now belonging to two sticker clubs, Pipsticks and Stickii. Stickers make me happy :)

STICKERS: If a swap calls for a sheet of stickers OR loose stickers I much much prefer sheets, thank you! And I would prefer NOT to get Disney or child like theme stickers :)

WISH LIST: Handmade envies, address labels, RETURN address label with my address on them, postcards (see above), note cards, stationary, stickers, washi tape, travel related ephemera

DON'T LIKE: I really don't want to fill this out because I find that when I receive things that just aren't my taste I usually find a swap partner that really appreciates it so I just pass it on. I guess the main DISLIKE is any Christian related things with bible verses, you can refrain from sending those. And I think I will add also anything child-like or meant for children. I have 1 adult daughter and no grandchildren and I just prefer not to get kiddo things if possible :)

One last thing, I am in Swap-Bot to have fun as I believe the majority of all you wonderful nice people are! So please don't write to me with attitude if I missed something or forgot something or overlooked something. I am very happy to make something up to you if I messed up but could you please be nice about it? Also if you didn't receive my swap could you please send me a message first instead of throwing out a 1? I always send my swaps and if you didn't receive it most likely it has been lost by the post office and I will always send a replacement if you will just let me know. Just send me a nice private message and it's done! Let's have fun folks, this isn't a place for powertrips or freakouts about something that is supposed to be a fun hobby. :D

I like a wide variety of music, lately a lot of smooth jazz (watercolors on XM) but love artists like Paolo Nutini, JJ Cale, David Gray, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart, OneRepublic, Beres Hammond, Tom Waits, Michael Franti, Nina Simone, Hip Abduction, Andrew Duhon, The Revivalists, Hozier, Jesse Cook, Melody Gardot, Chris Stapleton and on and on :-)

Historical Fiction most of all, and Anne Rice :-) Currently reading Love in the Time of Cholera. I'm trying to start reading some of the classic books.

Mr. Robot, The Crown, Bosch, Narcos: Mexico, Goliath, Stranger Things, True Detective, Game of Thrones, Bloodline, Peaky Blinders, Black Sails, Boardwalk Empire. I love to watch sports (Baseball, football, hockey, golf). After living in Pittsburgh for 25 years of course I am an avid Steeler/Pirate/Penguin fan!

We recently got Apple TV so now it's all apps all the time, no commercials, I love it! Goodbye Dish!

Drama & Action movies mostly. James Bond, Lord of the Rings, The Godfather. Recently saw Belfast, SO GOOD! Oscar?
