Hi! I'm a Middle School librarian in my mid-30s. I was a high school English teacher for about a decade before that. I'm into reading (obviously), snail mail, and mixed media collage. I LOVE handmade stuff! I'm a new-ish mom, and working on finding myself again after the all-consuming baby stage.

My first love is fantasy, and as a middle school librarian I love all the excellent middle grade fantasy coming out these days. My favorite book is probably Frankenstein; I love sci fi/fantasy that uses the unfamiliar to explore human nature. I taught AP Lit for a while and loved teaching Frankenstein. Also The Great Gatsby; my husband and I both quoted it in our wedding vows.

Pre-parenthood, I did a lot of knitting, but now it's hard to find the time. Now I focus on junk journaling, mixed media collage, mail art, that sort of thing. It's nice to have a craft that you can pick up and put down easily, and that can be completed relatively quickly. I like to sew (mainly garment sewing) and hope to get back to that hobby soon.

If you aren't sure what to send, I would love either something handmade, or something that represents one of your passions. I love mail that captures a piece of the sender's heart: what are you into and why do you love it?

I love stickers! One of my guilty pleasures is my Stickii subscription; I really look forward to getting those every month. I need more ideas for things to sticker upon because my stash is growing faster than I can use it!

I also love washi, and have too much of it! It's just so cute! Hopefully the swaps here will help me use up my washi collection... so that I can buy more!

I like to support local/small businesses when I can.
