UPDATE - May 23, 2017

I am taking a break from swap-bot for a little while. I may be back later. I have really enjoyed the swapping I have done since August 2014.

About Me:

I live in a small town in Western Maryland, USA. Have been married to my husband for over 34 years. We have lived in the same town all of our lives.

We have two grown sons who work in the medical field. We have a young granddaughter whom we enjoy babysitting (which is partly why I am taking a break).

I am retired and have been enjoying swap-bot since August 2014.

I like to read romance novels. Nora Roberts, Danielle Steel, Janet Evanovich, and Debbie Macomber are some of my favorites. Have read the "Shades of Grey" books, and found them interesting.

Sweet Home Alabama, Pretty Woman, and Fireproof are among my favorites. I could, and have, watched them over and over. I also love The Proposal with Sandra Bullock.

I am a Gilmore Girls fan from years ago.

I am a Couponer/Refunder from way back, although I don't do very much now since its just the two of us.

I love getting something for free, or almost free. I get coupons in the newspaper and at the library coupon exchange.

My wish list of manufacturer's coupons is as follows: Kellogg's cereals, Tide laundry detergent, Cold-Water All, Gain, soda/pop, chips, popcorn, Ragu spagehetti sauce, ice cream, Dial soap, cleaning supplies in general, and Mr. Clean Magic Erasers.

I try to turn "trash" into "treasure" for my church and the Iocal school. We save Box Tops for Education and have recently began saving aluminum can tabs for Ronald McDonald Houses.

I love my religious freedom. I will respect your religious freedom, unless you ask me a question about mine, then I'll have to share with you.

I really like most all colors. I guess if I had to pick just one, I'd say Red. I used to have a dress, a million sizes ago, that really made me feel pretty, so I'd say red is my favorite.

I have been asked to expand my profile to include some other likes.

So, here goes! I like: nail polish, hand cream, and brand-new earrings. I would like to receive a pair of beaded earrings (new, of course - you see, I have had heart surgery x3 and have to be super cautious about infection). I love the Eiffel Tower, anything with a France aspect to it really.

Specifically, I was asked about body products. Except for the nail polish and hand cream, that's about it. Maybe some body lotion or shower gel (?) I'm not very pampered you see.

I used to collect piggybanks. I still like them, but have had to downsize a bit, 149 was a little too many.

I have now started saving buttons, old and new.

As I said previously, I like jigsaw puzzles and have recently started to swap them.

Have learned to knit! At least simple items. If you would like to do a private swap for a 100% cotton dish cloth, knitted by me, I would be happy to do a private swap with you for something that you might have that I would like. Right now I have basically just simple knitted ones, and one I can make that has a cross image knitted into it. If you read this and want to swap, just pm me. I am very happy about sort of accomplishing this knitting thing. I'm considering learning to crochet, but will probably try quilting next.

My knitting is improving (as of May 2017). Still rip out a lot!

I don't like scary things.

I save pennies. I have them all wrapped and stored in coffee boxes. When I die, I'm going to look down and laugh at my sons carrying them off to the bank, lol. They are quite heavy.

I also feel this way about my swap-bot stash. Some day, some one is going to have to clean up my "craft area" and boy are they going to scowl. I now call this bedroom/craft area, "my studio", lol.

I have always wanted to know someone who has a birthday for every day of the year. You know, John Smith 1/1, Bob Jones 1/2, Jane Doe 1/3. I guess I must like lists.
