Hi I am a single Mum with a passion for making new friends. I love crafting and writing letters. When I stumbled across Swap-bot it was as if someone had read my mind! This is the perfect place for me.
I am a happy, fun, positive person who just happens to have very occasional bouts of the blues.
I love sewing, doll making, Card making, papercrafts, Fantasy Crafts. To be honest if I have the equipment I will give anything creative a go!
I attend the odd craft fayre but never make any money as I love to give away gifts! And what money I do make I tend to put back into buying more craft stash!
My 12 year old son! My family, My cats, My IPhone, My sewing Machine, My paints, My crafting stash, Snow, Quiet beaches, books/My kindle. Nail art, My fabric heap! Trying foods from different countries, Reading or looking at Newspapers from other countries, Family history, The cute and the quirky, Fantasy. (Dragons, Unicorns, fairies and that realm) Butterflies, Rainbows (The latter two I have become obsessed with since my Dad Died 18 months ago) Pretty and vintage things. I make a lot of bags and aprons that are an explosion of ribbon and lace!
Reading, Movies, Crafting, Painting, Movies, Playing computer and Console games with my son. Good Tv, Random acts of kindness. Writing and receiving letters. I used to write short stories and have started a couple of longer book length stories. I have brilliant ideas but then I get lost in the complicities of weaving it into a story!
I am going to make this into Movies and Tv. I love to laugh so movies and Tv programs that do that are my favourite thing to watch. I love Russell Howards good news because I love his upbeat, positive slant on life and the news. That said I also like Jack Dees, miserable, dead pan, grumpy old man act too. Comedy is closely followed by murder mysteries. I love police dramas like Frost, Vera, CSI, Criminal Minds, things like that. I am fascinated by what makes people tick and will often watch true crime dramas although rarely do I fully understand why they did what they did. I also like quirkier series like Grimm and the Walking Dead. Both of which I have very recently discovered. (Very late I know but better late than never!)
I love murder mysteries in books even more than on TV. I am not sick honest. I just find the slow build to the big reveal of whodunit to be exciting and a complete contrast to my happy and safe life.
My favourite Authors are Ed Mcbain (Oldie but still love em) Michael Robotham - solved by a clinical Psychiatrist called Joe and his ex police friend Ruiz. Stuart McBride. These books can be very gory and dark but incredibly funny in places too. Logan McCrae and his Boss Roberta Steele. She is one of the funniest Characters I have ever encountered. Some of her lines really do make me laugh out loud, which is embarrassing if I am listening to Audible on the bus!
