I have been to Acadia several times. I even hiked up Cadillac Mt. twice for the sunrise. (The auto road isn’t open that early). I have also seen the first sunrise at West Quoddy Head, the other place (a few weeks a year). It is interesting that it would rise first there all year except that the tall hills on an island on the Canadian side of the river block the sun most of the year.

I bought an ice cream attachment for my mixer, and was going to town for a while, but this year the freezer was too full to fit the ice cream bucket. Response: I'm glad you like it!!! So far we haven't carved the pumpkins. We have been painting them this year because of the kids but they have turned out really well. So far I've made Mike Wazowski, Frankenstein and a cat silhouette on a fence.

I thought the seals turned out very well :) If you don't mind an irreverent take on the apocalypse then Good Omens which Terry Pratchett wrote with Neil Gaiman would be a good choice to see his style and it's not part of the series. The Discworld books are loosely attached to each other and I would recommend the first two (The Colour Of Magic and The Light Fantastic). If you enjoy those, you -can- read the rest out of order, though it's best to read the ones that follow certain characters in order. Hope you are staying safe, take care! :)

Comment: Your letter put such a smile on my face, thank you. I've been having great weekends, although our weather has not been as nice as yours. This summer I haven't had to water our flowers at all as it has been raining pretty much every day, we've had a few nice days but those days were when I was out of town and I only heard about them. Finally September is here and we are having less rain and some nice days. When I go to see our grandchildren (12 and 7) we play a lot of board games, Sequence is one that we enjoy paying with all of us including their parents. I am trying to teach our 12 year old grandchild how to play crib, she's starting to get it. I'm glad to see you had such a great weekend and that you had so much fun, thank you for sharing it. And the stamps - Janis Joplin - how cool is that, thank you!

LOL it's a book about a veterinarian, James Herriot and every page has random things like sewing animals up and giving cows cesarean sections or other gross medical procedures. Comment: I have so many favorites! Little Mermaid was one of my first favorites, I had all the songs memorized when I was younger and drove my sisters nuts singing even when we weren't watching.

Comment: The sheep postcard is very cute. My mom is a knitter so I can’t wait to show it to her. I listened to the owl. What a pleasure it is to experience nature in your backyard. Since I’ve been working from home, I have been able to get acquainted with the birds in my neighborhood.
