Response: Andy is a "better half", aka 'imself over there! He really liked the ATCs & matchbox I made too! I'm glad you liked them - they were great fun to make :)
Response: I'm glad it arrived safe and sound! :)
Response: It's actually handmade paper with skeleton leaves in - Paperchase have a gigantinormous store not terribly far from work and sell all kinds of handmade papers in large wrapping paper-sized sheets, and I thought that one was just lovely!
Response: I wanted to send a little something extra for you since you were the hostess and it was Christmas ;) Glad you like them :) They had a whole little series of about a dozen sets! Thank you for hosting the whole series!
Response: I'm very glad you like them :)
Response: Glad you liked them. I forgot to scan the birdhouse doodle, but it seemed really appropriate from your profile :) It's rare that those kinds of doodles work for me - normally I can't draw for toffee!
Response: I'm glad you liked them! I'd forgotten how much I like drawing ladybirds ... if I'd remembered sooner you'd have had one covered in them ;)
Response: Thank you, I'm glad you liked them :)
Response: I'm glad you didn't have too long to wait! Considering there was a New Year bank holiday, I can only think they must have made it to the airport on the bank holiday!
Response: I'm busy evangelising about the fun of altered text, I think! Sending people book pages (it was an old book and already falling apart) so there's no excuses like "It's, like, sacrilege to destroy a book!" by sharing mine! ;) I'm pleased you liked the ATCs too!
Response: I'm glad you found it and very pleased you like it! The background technique is called "serendipity" - someone mentioned it in the forum so I googled it - it's fun ;)
Response: Sorry about poking you - I was just wanting to make sure they had arrived safe :)
Response: Thank you for saying so - I'm glad you liked them :)
Response: I'm so glad you liked them - I had a lot of fun making them :) Have a great New Year!
Response: Glad you liked it :)
Response: Aren't they fun? I'm glad you liked it, and hope you can use the extra book pages for some more similar swaps in the future ;)
Response: Awww, thank you so much for saying so. It was one of those random bolts of inspiration which hit from the blue, so I'm so pleased you like it!
Response: I guess you got the moon? :) I'm glad you lied it - I worried for a momoent when the black blurred into the paper, but decided the effect actually looked rather cool in the end ;) I'm amazed at the postcard coincidence though - I grab handfuls of the freebie promo postcards they give away as they make great notelets-come-enveloper-stiffners! :)
Response: Glad you liked it!
Response: Oh, that's a relief! I'm glad you liked them - I really, really struggled to make something that I was happy enough with to send to someone. Thank you :)
Response: I'm glad you liked it :)
Response: I'm glad you liked it! I'm amazed at how long it took to get to you, too - I'd never sent to Malaysia before! ;)
Response: I'm glad you liked them :) I felt guilty that I was posting a bit late so wanted to spoil my partners a bit!
Response: Hehe, glad you like them! :)
Response: Did it go via China? ;) I've never had such a small, light package take 3 weeks airmail to get down-under before, I think! Glad it arrived eventually :)
Response: I'm glad you like them! I think the sheep needed some work still ;)
Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked them, and I hope you had fun in the swap :) Did I send you the "white shed" one? (I think I did!) I had fun painting round the words to draw a picture rather than just being abstract!
Response: Glad you liked them :)
Response: Thank you for the compliment!
Response: You're too kind!! Thank you very much for saying so - glad you liked it!
Response: Awww, thank you for saying so! Thanks also for the feedback you gave me too :)
Response: I'm glad you liked them - it was surprisingly difficult using 5 different mediums, versus 5 different techniques!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Response: I'm glad you liked them :)
Response: Thank you for the beautiful thank you letter that you mailed to me - I was really touched, and I'm so pleased that the book hit all the right notes. It was my first time making a whole chunky book, so I probably went a bit overboard, having spent ages admiring some of the books on Flickr. I don't know how people can churn out so many - I was working on this one on and off since July! I figured, with a name like "chunky book" it'd be hard to _over_ embellish! ;) Thank you for making my week with your delight!
Response: Isn't it fun? I've seen some fab ones (and I've come out with some utter tosh, too!!)
Response: It's great how swap karma comes around - I hope you liked them as much as I've liked yours :) I'm sure we'll be swapping again!
Response: I'm so pleased you liked it!
Response: Glad you liked them :)
Response: Thank you :) Glad you liked them!
Response: Airmail really seems to be quick at the moment - glad they got there safe an that you like 'em!
Response: Awww, thank you! Glad you had fun in my swap - and thanks for joining too! So pleased you liked them :) I pick up handfuls of promo postcards when I see them in cinemas o occasional bars, because they're usually bright and colourful, sometimes wacky, and make great swap notes, as well as stiffening the envelopes to protect ATCs!
Response: I'm glad you liked it - I wasn't expecting to do very well, having only carved a stamp once before, but by the time I got to testing it, I nearly kept it ;)
Response: *grin* I've been doing a Fun Fall Fat Book swap, so I've gathered loads of fall embellishments - I couldn't fit them all in, hence the extras! I even have some Fimo leaves that we made ;)
Response: I'm so pleased! I agonised for ages on the internet about what quote to use, and in the end, I had to go with this one, so I'm relieved it's gone down well ;)
Response: I pressed the flowers from my garden last year - it was great finally having a good use for them. I only wished I had more! I was very happy with how these ATCs came out, so I'm glad you like it too. :)
Response: Glad you liked them ;)
Response: WOOOOOOOO it arrived? AT LAST! I was about to PM you and buy the darn thing off Amazon.com and get them to ship it direct instead! ;)
Response: Really glad you liked them :) It took me ages to work out what to do - this really was a challenge you came up with - but I was happy with the result in the end. I particularly liked that I got to use a full page protector - it meant that I could make them gel together (and the bases actually match up everywhere too!)
Response: Took its sweet time arriving, for sure! Glad you like it :)
Response: Hurrah, I do try and get pretty stamps (whatever they've got normally) - glad you like them as much as the content *grin*
Response: Thank you! I'm glad you like it :)
Response: ... A shoehorn! *grin* I think it helps that our 32c boxes seem a little deeper too :) Glad you liked it - You're the matchbox queen on Swap Bot from what I've seen!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind comments :) I was really pleased with how it came out in the end - although staring at an A4 sheet liberally covered in a bedlam of blues and silver splodges & stamps, I did wonder for a moment how I was going to be able to use it! :)
Response: Hehe, I'm glad you liked the package! :)
Response: Hurrah, first package to arrive through the postal strike! I'm glad you liked it - and that it didn't get lost :)
Response: Thank you! I'm glad you like it :)
Response: Awww shucks, thank you! *blush* They were great fun to make!
Response: Thank you! The Rennie Macintosh style roses are a type called 'peel-offs' - they're mostly quite tacky (or are card-style greetings), but you do find the odd few sheets which are really nice. They work really well on acetate with glass paint (or permanent marker pens) too.
Response: Hehe, thank you for the compliment! For the record, I Don't Do Pink .... so apologies for inflicting the fluorescent pink concoction on you ;) It was quite a challenge to make something I was willing to send using that background! :)
Response: Glad you liked it all!
Response: Wow, that arrived in great time to the other side of the world. I'm so pleased you liked it, I had fun (and a bit of angst) putting it together. It was quite challenging to find enough variety of good things that wouldn't be too bulky or too heavy!
Response: I'd forgotten I popped anything else in *chuckle* Glad it arrived safe :)
Response: Oooh, I'm glad I could inspire you! Hope you have fun using them :)
Response: I'm glad you liked it :)
Response: Thank you :) I was pleased with how the pages turned out (even if they're quite un-chunky chunky pages!)
Response: Thank you - glad you like it!
Response: Hehe, glad you like them. It's certainly efficient to paint a full sheet rather than individual cards in one go! ;)
Response: My pleasure! I tend to make a sheet of painted background paper at a time, so I've got loads of backgrounds myself now too! Thanks for hosting this swap :)
Response: Glad you liked it. I felt quite deliciously, wickedly subversive, using Eminem quotes on a girly almost-chintzy background *grin*
Response: Glad you liked it :)
Response: Glad to know it made the journey pretty quickly :)
Response: My pleasure! I made most of them specifically for sending, so thank _you_ for a reason to get creative too ;) I tried to do quite a variety of different types! (The painted backgrounds I make with acrylics by liberally covering an A4 sheet in two or three complementary colours and then cutting into ATC sizes once they're dry. No artistic talent required! ;) )
Response: Thank you for the heart - so glad it arrived safe and that you liked it :)
Response: Fab - glad it arrived safely! Hope you have fun :)
Response: I'm glad you liked it - I've been making lots of ATCs lately with that technique so it seemed an obvious one to choose.
Response: Awww *blush* Thank you :) Glad you liked it - nad it amde good time too!
Response: Hurrah, glad they've arrived, and that you liked them!
Response: Glad you liked them :)
Response: I'm so glad you liked them, they were fun to make!
Response: The second ATC is actually a print out! I scanned the original, and printed it 9 times at ATC size, so I could include the entire thing for everyone too. But thank you for the very lovely comments you've made - I look forward to joining you in a swap in the future!
Response: Thank you for the compliments - glad you liked them!
Response: Hehe, I enjoyed making it, and it's always fun filling them with lots of tiny things! There always seems to be just that last little bit of space to cram something else in! ;)
Response: I'm glad I hit the mark :) Great swap - I hope we do more!
Response: Thank you very much for the compliment :)
Response: Awww shucks *blush*. Thanks for the lovely compliment :) Glad you liked the matchbox!
Response: Glad you liked it :)
Response: Hope they're useful for you :)
Response: Glad you liked them. And amazed at how fast surface mail was for it too!
Response: Oooh how odd! Thanks for letting me know - I've sent loads in a half-sized envelope now (on the basis that they're not going to slide around and get damaged that way) .... I'd never heard of something like that happening before. I don't think they even care about envelope sizes over here - I've received lots of nnotelets and tiny christmas cards that kind of size in years past! No doubt there'll be a few more people getting taped-to-postcard envies from me in the next coupla weeks ass the ones posted arrive!
Response: We had about a week of summer, and then it rained. Think we've skipped the indian summers of the last few year and most of autumn and are back to the miserable grey of early winter already. Short changed! :)
Glad you liked it, and thank you for the compliments!
Response: Glad you liked it :)
Response: Glad you liked it (I can guess which bit you got) - I can't take credit for the idea of sending the complete doodle though!
Response: My pleasure - hope you enjoy them :)
Response: Glad they've arrived safe and sound :)
Response: I'm so glad you like it - it was great fun to do, but I was so nervous, it being my first chunky page!
Response: Hurrah - so glad you liked it :) I ended up making it twice, because I did a similar thing for my other partner, but got the stamps on the wrong colours ... and I was actually happier with the colour of the new background that you got!
Response: Do you know ... I can't remember which I sent you for the Mega swap now *blush* Was it the blue/yellow Moon and the fish?
Response: Glad they arrived safe :)
Response: I wish I could take the credit, but someone else mentioned it, and I thought it was a great idea! :)
Response: Glad you liked the package :) I only started making ATCs as a result of SwapBot, although I'd seen them before and they're actually how I found this site - so it seemed fun to me to introduce someone else to them!
Response: My pleasure - hope they're useful to you!
Response: Whoever suggested it - it was a great idea!
Response: Oh no! I had really hoped it would survive the trip :( Are the flowers & leg bead in the jiffy bag? If not, I can send some spares over for you ... if they are, hopefully superglue will make everything all right. It was a toss-up between the smaller jiffy bag and lots of extra padding in a giant one, but I thought the snugness would help. Darn, I'm so sorry :(
Response: I'm glad I did ... there were so many cute details that I liked that got lost otherwsie ;) Glad you liked it!
Response: Really, my pleasure! Glad to be able to help :) Pleased to hear she liked it though!
Response: Aren't they just _fantastic_? They were a serendipitous find at The Bead Shop in Covent Garden!
Response: My pleasure! Glad you liked it :)
Response: Glad you liked them - and even more so that they made it there in one piece :)
Response: I hope they're useful to you! I sent a few bonus ones because some seemed awfully thin when they were done, and I wasn't sure whether you'd have a use for the cute small ones! Glad you like them :)
Response: I'm glad you liked it! It was my first ever decorated matchbox, and I'm amazed just how many bits and pieces you can get inside them! ;)
Response: Good to know they've arrived - for a moment I wondered, given the strikes, if it would be more reliable to drop them in myself on the way home from work!
Response: I was hoping they'd be useful to your scrapbooking! Glad you liked them, and that they got there safe.
Response: Thank you for sending the Flickr link to your completed kit!
