You might notice some 1's on my profile. They were from 5 years ago. Three of the four 1 ratings I have are with swappers who are no longer active (ROCKIE: last online 3/17/14; jluca454: last online 11/29/10; nikkig8403: last online 11/20/14).
I just moved to Houston, and I thought it would be fun to give/receive mail to help brighten my days. I'm now in a city of 6 million people, and I know about 5.
Swaps are supposed to be FUN right??? So, if you are running late - DON'T STRESS. Just send me a pm letting me know, and we can work something out. Just like most swappers, I appreciate the common courtesy, and it will usually keep me from rating down.
I rate all swaps received, so if I haven't rated yet, I probably haven't gotten it. If you have not received something from me, PLEASE contact me before rating me a 1.
I am 31, and I just moved to Texas! I've only been here 4 months, and I'm feeling like a long way from "home". I've been spending a lot of time reading and watching copious amount of Doctor Who. It is WAY too hot to be outside right now. I'm not an avid "crafter" (is that what you would call it?). However, I do like to do different types of creative projects from time to time.
I have a really hard time choosing.
I enjoy musicals and chick-flicks. Rent, Hairspray, Mamma Mia - Any of the movies based on Nicholas Sparks books. Anything with Tina Fey
As I get older, I find I am liking independent movies. Ones where it's not always a happy ending. It feels more realistic and true to life.
Yes, I can see that chicken flicks and independent movies are complete opposites! Just going for a bit of everything.
Ok. I have a HORRIBLE sense of smell. That being said, I LOVE mint. Probably because it's SO strong that I can actually smell it. It's my favorite taste as well. I love peppermint tea. Yummy. York peppermint patties are one of my favorite candies (a close runner-up to Reeses). All my body wash, shampoo, lotions are mint. It's a little ridiculous lol.
All of them - well, except for science fiction. I read ALL the time. You could say it's my passion. Jodi Piccoult is probably my favorite author at the moment. I have a guilty pleasure for YA. I read at least one book a week, so this could change lol.
Country. What can I say? I grew up in Wyoming.
Lady Antebellum is my absolute favorite. Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift (even though she is pop now, Country music is still claiming her), Reba, Martina McBride. Miranda Lambert (probably second most favorite. . . how I put her last is beyond me!)
GREEN. The darker the green the better. Blue. Opposite of green - the lighter the better. I like natural earthy colors.
Penguins. Cupcakes. Anything with a flower print. Scenic pictures (oceans!! and sunsets). Black and white photos. Anything green. Elephants. Quotes. Quotes about reading/books. Bookmarks.
This being said, if I get something pink or something orange or grape flavored, or ribbon or something I don't like - I WILL NOT rate down based on that. It's part of swapping - we all like different things, and it's a "risk" we take when we swap. . . however, I will try to find a home (aka another swapper) that would love it.

August 2015 I contacted you again about a resend. You said you would send but I have not heard from you again.
I wanted to thank you again for being such an understanding partner. The new PC goes in the mail today.
Robin, I will rerate this swap to a 3 if I receive a page from you as described in the swap.
Hey there, welcome back to SB. If you made up that swap you owe to @whisperwings (who is still active), and got the 1 changed to a 3, it would really help your overall rating and probably allow you to get in more swaps.
Thank you so much for angeling the Summer Reading List and Bookmark swap for me!! That was so nice of you! I love the bookmark and the Dr. Seuss stickers! Great suggestion too! :) A million thanks!
Thanks for the RAK card.
Thank you so much for the beautiful letter! Wow, you are so quick at replying. Thank you so much. I will reply as soon as I can...right now, I am visiting my parents, but will write soon after returning home. :)
No worries, I was definitely planning to add your address to the letter before I pass it on. I'd noticed that was missing :)
