Response: I did not expect this, but I am so very touched. Thank you.
Yes, I deeply loved Alaska. My oldest daughter was born there the day after my 25th birthday. I feel very deep ties. It's one of those places where I'd return in a heartbeat with no questions asked. I hope we get to swap again, too.
Response: I sent a regular postcard several weeks ago. It had the opera quote on it. I hope you got it! Let me know if you didn't. I'd love to swap cat tales. (ack! almost typed "tails" Bad Carole. No cookie for me.)
Response: I'm going to guess that my signature got covered by the strip they sometimes put at the bottom of postcards. I've found other people's signatures under them before. If I truly neglected to sign it, I am quite sorry, as that is the last thing I do before putting stamps on the cards.
I'm not surprised you don't remember the swap I mentioned. It was from 2007. :-( It was mailed a couple days ago (today is 2-21-13.) I never let myself off the hook for it.
Response: So glad you liked them!! I had fun finding them....especially the opera quote. That one made me laugh.
Response: Oh, thank you!! I had maybe a little too much fun writing it. I'm *really* glad you liked it! Hope you have a great day!
Response: I am *so* glad you liked it! It really makes me happy when I get it right. Ink is one of my latest passions. It's just one of those little ways I can show some personality and have fun. Hope I get to swap with you again.
Response: I figured we needed a little comic relief in the middle of the seriousness of the other two. It cracked me up as well. So glad you both liked it!
Response: You are so very welcome! I've been holding on to that postcard for a while and hadn't had the right person to send it to.
The opera quote just cracks me up, so I had to include it. Hope you have a great day!
Response: You're very welcome.
Response: I am *SO* happy you got it!! I'm glad I found it because I thought it'd be the perfect one for you! Took 3 cards, but I'm super thrilled this one got there, as it was by far the best of the bunch. (insert *huge* sigh of relief)
Response: It was fun to write to you. Looking forward to receiving your reply! Thank you so much for the heart!
Response: It's just traffic...it's not that *long* of a bridge, distance-wise! When the traffic is normal (no Army/Navy games or big holiday weekends) it only takes about a half hour to 40 minutes. But traffic can get ugly really quick. I think it's a beautiful bridge to sight-see from - the Chesapeake Bay is gorgeous. I just don't want to sit there for any length of time. (btw, not silly to get nervous. Some people can't cross any bridges at all.)
Response: Yes, it is absolutely grunge board! Of course Tim shows many ways to use it on his website. It takes ink well and you can cut it into all sorts of shapes. It's pretty nifty stuff.
I'm so glad you like the ATCs! I had a lot of fun making them.
Response: They're really quick reads. I have the first couple (bought them used *years* ago) and have been checking the rest out from the library. Very formulaic, but with enough wit to keep me coming back for more. If you read any, I hope you enjoy them!
Response: When I saw that you were homeschooling your son, I thought it might be a good one to send.
Response: When we got married, the Spousal Unit had 500 cds. I had 49. Twenty-one years later, I've lost count, but he tells me there are over 3000, not counting the digital-only versions and those that are vinyl. It's staggering. Plus, I'm always keen to hear new artists, so that just means we end up with more stuff! The kids are old enough now that they introduce us to their music. Some of it ends up in my regular rotation. Not, however, the Japanese version of Country Roads. I still can't quite wrap my brain around that one.
Response: I'd be really curious to see what else you have on your iPod, then. I'm always interested in new music!! There were genres that shuffle didn't even touch, which I thought was kind of weird, but it did still give a fairly decent range. Thank you for the rating!
Response: LOL! Diamine Hope Pink. I got it as a sample from Goulet Pens, but I really think I need to order a whole bottle. LOVE the colour!!
Response: Well, the towel is made, photographed and mailed. I've knit about 2" on the scarf. I took one of the daughters to her appointment. The spousal unit took the other one. I'm *almost* done with the first dishcloth. I haven't touched the quilt fabric yet, but I ended up making DD#2 a skirt and reading two books. I also sent out several postcards. I didn't get the applesauce made because eldest son got to my apples before I did. Need more apples!! Then I can make my muffins. I tell you, I just need more hours in my days! Glad you liked the card. You said you were snarky. Happy Bunny is definitely snarky. Totally cracks me up.
Response: Oh how excellent!! Maybe we will run into each other there. I can usually be found either helping out at the fleece sale, t-shirt sales or in the Journey Wheel booth buying *way* too many spindles! Who makes the polymer drop spindles you like?
Response: OMG, seriously?? I have never seen anyone else do that!! Now I don't feel like *quite* as much of a freak! Thanks for the heart. It really was a fun swap!
Response: A while back, I picked up this box of super esoteric postcards from Amazon. They're not for everyone. When I read your profile, the Mae West card seemed perfect for you. I'm so glad you liked it!!
Response: PM sent? I'm sorry. I don't recall having gotten one. I will look for it. I'm very sorry you didn't get your card. Apparently quite a few did not show up. *sigh*
Response: I'm sorry your postcard didn't arrive. I'll resend one asap.
Response: Whew! I was starting to worry a bit! This is the first time I've mailed anything from the post box down the street. Also my first recycled postcard. I like the idea of those, so thank you for the inspiration to give it a whirl! (and extra thanks for the heart!!)
Response: <3 So happy to have you back!!!!
Response: Hurray!! You are very, very welcome!
Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked it!!
Response: I'm so glad everything arrived safely!
Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you liked them. I was afraid, to begin with, that they would suck, but by the time I was done, I was really pleased. This was a really fun swap!
Response: I'm glad you liked it! I hope you enjoy swap-bot as much as I have. There are some truly wonderful people here.
Response: I'm *so* glad everything arrived!
Response: Awesome! That card just totally cracked me up, but I knew I couldn't send it to just anyone. And Zappa was far more intelligent than many people give him credit for.
Response: I'm so glad you liked them! I used colours from your profile and they were quite fun to make. I love how they came out.
Response: I hope they are all images and backgrounds you can use!
Response: LOL!!! So glad you liked them!! My quote file just keeps getting bigger as I find more great ones.
Response: I'm so very glad you like it!! I was nervous. Definitely eat the chocolates! The card with the baby Jesus is emboss resist with ink and clear embossing powder put down first and then painted over and around.
Response: I'm so glad you liked! I couldn't resist adding in the Unladen swallow. The Holy Grail is one of the best movies of all time.
Response: I was really nervous about sending that. I wanted it to be something that would make you smile when you looked at it.
I really do believe that people should have the right to love and marry whom they choose.
I'm over the moon that you like it!!!
Response: You are so very welcome!! Coffee is the nectar of the gods! I certainly can't live without it. And Starbucks is addictive!! Best wishes!
Response: I'm so sorry you've been sick!! You must have had the same thing my family and I have been battling. I hope that you are done with illnesses for the remainder of the year!
Please do post any cards you make with the images. I would truly love to see them. Best wishes! Carole/FJ
Response: I took that shot for a photography course last spring. It's one of my very favourite photographs, so I was very pleased with how the ATC turned out. I'm so glad you liked it too!
Response: I did look on your profile to see if I had any postcards that would be particularly fitting. I'm glad I chose well!
Response: This makes me SO happy! This is why I swap. I just love it when I get it right and make someone smile.
Response: I'm so glad you liked them! It was way too much fun to shop - but bad for the bank account!
Response: Yup. Very, very dangerous in a fabric store!! I'm so glad you liked them! It was hard to decide which ones to leave behind. It's a fabulous shop.
Response: Yes, they are mysteries. My tastes are pretty eclectic, so I had to stop myself at 100 books!
Response: Wow, that was in the mail for a while! I'm so glad you liked it!! The card cracked me up and I've been waiting for just the right person to send it to.
Response: I'd just picked up some the other day, and when I saw that your fav colour was green, I knew I had to put the green ones in the envelope.
Response: I am so glad you liked it!!!
Response: I am so sorry! I totally hate for anyone to be disappointed. I looked back over the swap requirements, and I do think I met them. Nevertheless, look for another envie from me.
11-21
You are very, very welcome. I never want anyone to feel disappointed, so I'm very glad that I was able to make it up to you. It gave me an excuse to buy new stamps, too. :-)
Response: You're very welcome. It was a *lot* of fun to put together.
Response: I'd replied privately prior to my earlier response, but I'm glad it was received. Will reply privately again.
