Comment: This is the coolest stuff! I love the Sherlock quotes! And I especially loved your deductions about me! I will tell you that you came up with deductions about my swap-bot name that I never thought of but make perfect sense. And since you did such a great job about deducing, I'll tell you BluGinhm actually came from a Chatty Cathy doll outfit that was really hard to find and almost always was sold as a separate outfit, but actually came on the Chatty Cathy I briefly had as a child. It had a blue gingham dress, white pinafore and blue velvet shoes with a blue gingham lining. But I love the Wizard of Oz and like that reference, too! Thanks for sending it all!

I simply LOVE the postcards, I think from Morocco? Have you been there? It is a dream for me to one day go to the Fes Musical Festival - oh I would be on cloud 9! Comment: Thanks for sharing the beautiful mushroom photographs and your stories. We have those clusters of orange mushrooms here too but I've not yet discovered their name. Do you know? That's cool you got to eat the chicken of the woods you found as a kid! The puffball in pizza idea scared me a bit because I was surprised to read how toxic the giant puffballs that grew in my yard this year were. So, I'd do some extra research before trying a puffball in pizza to make certain that kind of puffball is okay to eat and not poisonous. Thanks again for sharing your cool mushroom finds! Edit: Thanks for explaining about the puffballs. Those giant poisonous puffballs in my yard were brown/black...a different kind.
Response: I think they might be called jackolantern but I haven't looked it up. As for the puffballs, little ones can be poisonous but with the giant ones theres no way to mistake them for anything else, they look like volleyballs. Giant puffballs are edible before they go overripe, so if they are white all the way through and not yellowish they are fine :)

As for the contents of the craft store dumpster, it was really fun stuff to receive, especially the silly bands which really are one of those things I like but not enough to spend money on. I ate the candy... it really tickled me to eat princess candy from a dumpster! It does kind of make me want to check the dumpsters of the craft stores near me. Chain stores do tend to be incredibly wasteful, in more ways than one. It can really make a person not want to shop at them! Sorry to ramble, thanks again!

Comment: Thank-you so much for sending me such a beautiful poem! This is positively gorgeous, everything that I hope my writing will someday be. I also love your thoughts written in blue. <3 Your writing is so neat.
Do you happen to write anywhere on the internet where I could read more? (Like LiveJournal, Tumblr, Deviantart...?) I am always on the lookout for new poetry to read.

The postcard is also quite beautiful. It was such a refreshing card to get in the mail! :) I love all of the silver highlights.

Unfortunately I haven't got any kind of website (I really need to set something up...) but if you are interested in hearing some of my performance poems there are a few things on youtube. (search jenny smart and theres one video, and halogen poetry there are two.) I'll look up penessence, new thing to read are fun!

I didn't have a specific story planned for the art,I just start drawing and see where the story takes me.

Response: Glad you liked it, mail art has been the only art I've had time for this year so it's kind of my outlet for artsy things :) I taught myself the elvish from various places (the books, some websites etc) so there are probably a lot of mistakes but at least it still looks pretty!

Comment: Your cheerfully decorated envelope brought much cheer to the postal workers at my little post office. We have all enjoyed it. I love the ribbons and black paper. My grand daughter snagged the rabbit stationary to write to her pen pal. I say it was a very successful swap all around - lots of smiles !

I'm just getting into zentangles myself so my name was really awesome. My favorite is the A that looks like peacock feathers, and the pumpkin looks perfect..damn i wish i could draw lol. thanks for the great envy of stuff!

Comment: Wonderful letter - thanks so much! I love seeing coloured pencils used with obvious enjoyment, and pens! Also, I have to say I was pretty impressed by your poem. :) (I'm not easily impressed and usually don't comment on poetry bc if you don't have anything nice to say, etc...) And not to patronise, truly, but some of it seemed pretty wise for a 19-year-old, in particular, unless I'm forgetting 19. (And I thought I never would~!) There were a few words that were a bit hard to read so I'm just gonna have to check out the YouTube version soon. I'm wondering if it's *you* who'll be performing them, poet and performance artist, you. Go slam girl! :) (I loved the spiral - you're as dedicated to your kookiness as I am to mine - but I'd love to see this written out in linear stanzas to see where the line breaks are. Do you have a version like that you could email me? The rhythm and rhyme really had me wanting to know more.)
