Reading your letter was a delight too - I definitely recommend Kauai when you go back to HI! It offers much more of the “real” (less-touristy) nature and beauty of the islands than Maui does, so you can hike and photograph some amazing sights! I strongly recommend Wailua Falls as a place to hike and dip your toes in! 😉 🤙🏽 💦 🥾 Aloha!🌺
Response: That sounds wonderful! My short time in Maui was not touristy at all. The whole road to Hana was open to us with no traffic, and we walked around in the bamboo forest near a waterfall and a grassy area and the volcanic rock shore without anyone around except a few people in the distance. It was only after coming back home that I heard that the road to Hana is usually crazy-busy. Lucky me! Thanks so much for the recommendation-- I'll be sure to check out Wailua Falls. ♥

Comment: Got your letter and the goodies. Thank you for the project life cards and especially the playing cards - so many cute ones! I've been to Savannah, Maine, and just last year went to Boulder. Stayed there for a week and had a wonderful time. And I've always wanted to go to Sicily. I wonder if we will ever be able to travel internationally again???!!!

She would always have homemade bread and koch kase(German for cooked cheese) - so good. Comment: Got a beautiful rainbow last night when I got home! I love how you wrapped everything and the card is really creative! Everything is wonderful and so happy you sent the faux grass because my mom wants me to make her a fairy garden and I've had a hard time finding the right grass. This is perfect. I will use some of the minis you sent as well, thank you. The fairy garden rock will be a cute addition! This was a great swap and very happy we upped it. Comment: Just delightful ~ as always! What an enchanting hedgehog postcard: the new favorite on my pc display for sure! Such lovely bits of ephemera, all totally me! That lilac sticker made me sigh: I have a big lilac bush that right now has no leaves, yet 2 lilac clusters blooming, each only the size of a grape. The poor plant just doesn't know what to make of California weather. Swan love stamps: I'd forgotten about those graceful beauties! Love the classy vintage air mail and calligraphy mail labels!. Great postage on a pretty vintage floral envelope. Thank you so much!

I planted 8 rescue bushes (got bulldozed) last summer, and about 6 made it and have some sort of leaves. Oddly, the one that seemed in the best shape and was the largest is totally dead. Oh well. I've got some leaves on them, but I'm not counting on flowers this year. I'll let you know ;) p.s. is that a good or sad sigh-- just so I know whether or not to send any more lilacs your way :D

Comment: I had to sit and savor your wonderful envelope: of course Phillaine would find retro duck tape with typewriters! So much happiness ALL OVER that envelope, including your classy typed return address label and the very fun postage --ooh, that upside down jenny! Then on to all the thoughtful goodies inside! Oh, how I absolutely love the darling Dumbo clip --so detailed (and Dumbo is so hard to find.) The Mickey card is perfect for my collection. How those Christmas tags and seals stayed in such mint condition is amazing - that package sure takes me back in time! 170 pieces - of course they count each little string for the tags, so it is a "Valu Pack" indeed! I love the report card envelope in Spanish and then the oodles of ephemera inside! I memorized The Owl and the Pussy Cat poem in grade school so that was extra special. Each item is quite delightful and I keep looking through them all and smiling, smiling, smiling. Never heard of "nite nite munki munki" ~ what a darling tag; love that there is a Women Authors card game and you sent me Laura Ingalls Wilder; hunt & gather is such a great name for an antique store and their business card is cool. Love the Growers of Quality Fruit receipt and funny report card for grown ups and pretty Farmer's Market postcard, candy shop card, cute poodle tag, super classy faux postage of bicycles etc and well, just every item! SO MUCH FUN - thank you, thank you!

Thank you for that wonderful experience. I'm very happy that you like the things I chose just for you. I got that Spanish report card envelope during my 2015 trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico. They had bundles of them in a little pharmacy/trinket shop, next to toy cars and office supplies and whatnot. I wish I would've picked up more of them, but I didn't know what they were as I don't speak (or read) Spanish. Thanks again for your wonderful kind words. ♥

Aliexpress has tons of shops with good prices and free shipping. If you don't want to wait for the long shipping time, etsy has lots of re-sale washi shops, and you can do a search for what you're looking for. I hope that helps!

Comment: You have the knack for putting together the coolest things for your single stamp envelope swaps! I love your mini handmade envies for pocket letters and everything thing else too. Do you make your own envelopes? Where do you get your double-sided papers? I've lost my source.
Response: :) Thanks, Beth! I'm so glad you like them! :) I do make my envelopes, and was pretty excited to make the little pocket-letter sized envelopes. I'm developing a pattern for some that will be the right size and close on the short side, or "top." I've found double-sided cardstock at Ben Franklin and Michaels, and I get 12X12 papers at Michaels when they go on sale 5 for $1. I'm not sure where I got all my double-sided papers (I'm trying to use up paper I've had for ages), but I'd like more. Do let me know if you find a good source for them! ♥ Thanks for the heart. ♥

I know what you mean about the washi-- I mainly use it to decorate envelopes or do paper-crafting, but there are TONS of pinterest idea boards out there for washi projects. A really easy one is wrapping a tealight with washi (so cute and easy, and just the right size!) The skinnies are some of my favorites, too. I like to use them in my planner.

The poppy stickers are special too, I love anything with a poppy flower, it reminds me of my Scottish grandfather, I use to call him "poppy" and we used to pick the flower together from his garden. Comment: Thank you for the nice handmade envelopes. The paper had a neat texture. I was looking at the envelopes again, and found the baggie of mini punched heart shapes and the butterfly stickers, so decided to change the rating to include a heart.
