Hi! I’m Lara, a teacher, wife, and mom of three from Texas who absolutely loves all things snail mail. There is something so special about finding a handwritten envelope or postcard waiting in the mailbox, and I enjoy sharing that same joy with others around the world. I’m active on Postcrossing, Postfun, and Cardzilla, and I’m always excited to meet new friends who appreciate happy mail as much as I do.
I love learning about different countries, traditions, and everyday life in places both near and far. I studied German in college, spent time in Germany, and still enjoy practicing the language whenever I have the opportunity. Traveling, especially to Germany, has given me an even greater appreciation for connecting with people from different cultures, and snail mail is one of my favorite ways to do that.
When I’m not teaching or spending time with my family, you’ll usually find me journaling, reading, taking photographs, creating crafts, or planning my next travel adventure. I enjoy decorating letters and envelopes with washi tape, stickers, colorful pens, and little artistic touches. I believe that opening happy mail should feel like opening a small gift.
I especially enjoy thoughtful swaps, postcards, decorated envelopes, handmade creations, and little surprises that brighten an ordinary day. I’m a reliable swap partner and always do my best to mail items promptly and package them with care. Whether we’re exchanging postcards, stickers, bookmarks, tea, letters, or small flat surprises, I hope our exchange leaves us both smiling.
I also love hearing about your hometown, favorite places to visit, local traditions, holidays, books you enjoy, interesting foods, wildlife, or anything that makes your corner of the world unique. Feel free to write as much or as little as you’d like. I genuinely enjoy getting to know people through the mail.
