ADDRESS UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2022. If you have a round robin/traveling swap to return to me, the P.O. Box 2472 is old. Please PM for new address!
I live in central Texas with two precocious cats, in order of age (NOT intelligence): Groucho and Chickadee (aka Dee Dee). I enjoy
* reading,
* paper crafting,
* journaling,
* planning,
* knitting,
* gardening/xeriscaping,
* coloring,
* yoga,
* memory keeping,
* snail mail/pen palling/happy mail/postcards, and
* Bible journaling and study.
I have always loved to read. I especially like mystery/thriller types of novels (John Grisham, Dean Koontz, Lee & Child) and the occasional romance. My current favorite series is about Armand Gamache and is written by Louise Penny. I don't typically re-read fiction, but this series I plan to!
My favorite books are The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah and Watchers by Dean Koontz.
I enjoy television more than movies because I appreciate the talent it takes to keep the audience involved for years in a plot. All time favorites include Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Alias, LOST, Big Bang Theory, and x-Files. I may have been a Survivor fanatic since it started. :)
I get hung up on fascinating podcasts sometimes. So much so that I want to take notes on them. Like Serial, Undisclosed, etc.
I spend too much time pinning things I'll never do on Pinterest or in craft swap Facebook groups.
I enjoy knitting (I can only do parallelograms - nothing fancy! - but I'm all about the scarves and potholders) and genealogy.
Paper crafting is primarily my thing but so love playing with paint. I use journaling cards, stickers, ephemera, paper napkins, fabric bits, etc.
I love memory keeping and planning. I've had a paper planner all my life and I love seeing more people getting involved in it.
I collect/hoard journals and notebooks and office supplies and paper crafting supplies and napkins. It's an obsession. . Florals, butterflies, dragonflies, cats, and mice show up in my crafting a lot, along with a general vintage style.
If you really want to tuck in extras, I'm looking for Christmas card fronts that would make good postcards (the Christmas postcards I have are pretty ugly), stamped images (especially on unusual thinks like paper bags), and coloring postcards (I'm almost out!)
Favorite color is purple
POSTCARDS! I love collecting postcards around the world and am a postcrosser and send something-er! Please write a little about yourself... what makes your town special, what you're currently reading, what your plans are for the weekend. Anything! I love them addressed, written on, stamped, and well traveled. I even love the pieces that arrive in the USPS envelope because their machines ate part of it.
I think I'm ready to find a regular pen pal again but I'm a slow responder and often lose people that way.
I mark items sent once I leave in an outgoing mail box. If I leave after my daily mail delivery, I assume the postmark is after the next day's delivery (and pickup) but considering how slow my mailman is, I can't guarantee it is even processed the same day! I try to compensate for this unknown in my sending. :)
If you don't receive, please PM me before rating. I may have a tracking number or other information to locate it and I am always willing to resend.
I rate upon receipt because that what I want people to do for me!
