I also live in a little town (believe it or not, New Jersey is not all city!) and we live at the base of the Sourland Mountain Preserve. I love learning about where people live, what's special about their area and about the people who live there. It fascinates me!! The Amish community is 2 hours from me but we frequently visit that area for delicious, fresh produce and PIES!! Its worth the drive!!

I hope this was a fun swap for you. I had nothing but trouble. I put first class postage on them, because I was told they wouldn't go as postcards. Then two came back, asking for $.15 more because they were "Not machinable". Why, I can't figure out. If I get them back again, they are going into envelopes. :-)
Response: First set I used 35 cent stamps, didn't hear anything about it. This last time I put 55 cents on it just to be safe. I wish each PO would be consistent. I don't know why they wouldn't be machinable unless there is something a tad bulky in it. I got one that was more like a shaker card...it was so darn cute but had to pay parcel price to claim it! That was definitely non-machinable LOL.

Comment: Thanks for the interesting post card. Best chunk of cardboard I have ever seen! Curious if you used Modge Podge and acrylics. Loved the finished product.
Response: I used Modge Podge over the top since the last one arrived scuffed. I had hoped it would protect it some. The piece is just a cut out from an Elle magazine. I did tear a couple spots while trying to work out bubbles so touched up with a Tombow marker but otherwise it is just a piece of magazine. Glad you liked it. I am trying to do different types of things.

Response: The book has a ridiculous title of "Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead". I do think I put it on the card but it is a bit long. It isn't really funny, just a bit unusual, set in Poland, old lady is into astrology and trying to stop poachers etc.

Response: I am glad you like it! Webbing is from a dollar store in the bows/basket fill etc. area. Isn't it fun??? I am addicted to my old typewriter and love to use it when I can.

We call our soap "business" Bubble Heart Soaps. I put business in quotes because we haven't opened an Etsy soap yet, but we're planning on it in the next few months!

I wonder how often that happens with the ones I send out? Almost makes me want to send in envelopes but I think that defeats the point of a postcard. Anyway, thank you for sending!
Response: Well that figures. I debated on coating it with modge podge or something. I wonder if that would make a difference. I know the machines scuff a lot of postcards up these days which can be irritating.
