If you are a fan of being a little bit spooked, try something like Salem's Lot (vampires in sleepy Maine), or IT (terrifying clown living in the sewers.) OR if you don't want to be scared but want a real page turner, try Under the Dome (as advertised: Mysterious dome closes small town off), or the Green Mile (loveable giant absorbs pain, will make you cry and cry.)
