Comment: I love that you also made a zine out of your lists! Good idea to have a letter explaining everything outside of it. Mine turned into a zine-booklet :p Anyway, to the lists. First of all - loved the picture of you and your dog Sashi. I suck at naming breeds that I'm not super familiar with, so I have to ask - which breed is he? Oh, on the list of "Countries I'd like to visit (again)", we had so many countries in common! I have a recommendation for Kenya, if you get to visit. The Nairobi National Park is really cool, because I can't think of anywhere else where you can see a wild giraffe (or other animals) silhouetted against the Nairobi skyline. That was really something. I also recommend the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. When I visited they didn't allow too many visitors (so that the baby-phants didn't get too comfortable around different humans), but they had it open for one of the play/feeding times to raise money. And eat chapati and spinach (this combo is on my list of favourite foods, as you will see :p). I absolutely love that you and your husband sang to each other at your wedding. Such a precious and special thing to do! I haven't had the chance to listen to all of the songs, but I'll be sure to check the ones I haven't heard out. About your book list: I haven't come across another one who's read "Watching the English" by Kate Fox. Yay! And I agree with you - if they had such a book for every culture in the world, I'd get it. I used to study social anthropology, so if you get a hold of my copy, you'll see that even though I bought and read it after my studies, I still have things outlined/underlined (with notes in the margins). Oh, and I got so many other recommendations from your list. I think I'll check out "The Silver Trilogy" by Kerstin Gier first :D And I absolutely agree with your "Character traits"-list. Thank you for hosting this swap - absolutely loved it :D

I'm glad that you have persevered and are getting what you want now. You and Abigail Breslin do, indeed, have the same face shape. Good choice in an actress to represent you! I've only heard one of the songs that you chose for your soundtrack (the one by Elton John). That's a great choice for the closing song. I especially liked The Egg Travels (Dinosaur).

I’d already heard t.A.T.u in Russian – and I much prefer their songs in their original launguage:) I’d also heard Tarkan – Simarik as it was popular in Norway back in the days. My first reaction was “Oh my god! How could I have forgotten about this?”:p I enjoyed the songs you sent me, and I think eXtério – Whippet is my favourite, simply because of the music video. It was so all over the place and hilarious that I couldn’t stop laughing. I can’t wait to show it to my husband :D And I love folk songs, so Tri Martolod was right up my alley. I checked out Nolwenn Leroy’s version, Alan Stivell’s version, and a version where they collaborate on it, but I preferred Nolwenn Leroy’s version too :)

Meine weiteren Favoriten kommen auf jeden Fall aus Indien und Skandinavien! Indische Bhangra-Musik macht einfach nur gute Laune! Das Video ist so farbenfroh und das ist auch das erste, woran ich bei Indien denke: Farben! Garmarnas Herr Mannelig gefällt mir supergut; muss mir mal mehr von dieser Band anhören... und ja The Rasmus kenne ich... auch war ich schon in Finnland und verbinde mit dem Land - und der Sprache - schöne Erinnerungen. Danke nochmals für diese tolle Swap-Idee und Deinen wunderbaren Brief, der ja auch sehr interessante Landesinformationen enthielt. Der Ausdruck "übermächtige Niedlichkeit" wird mir gewiss im Gedächtnis bleiben. 😊

Comment: Thank you for your email. I'm glad you and your husband got some "child free" time. My boyfriend and I had a date night last week for the first time in... we're not sure how long! It was nice to be out of the house, kid free. We went to the restaurant and then for a long walk on a trail.

Comment: You sent AMAZING photos! I love the pictures of the flowers, especially the purple ones (my favorite color!). The caterpillar looks plump and healthy...almost ready to go through the transformation to become a butterfly. That's a great photo of the snail. We don't see snails like that here so it was fun to see one up close.

It always makes me happy to see songs in other languages. I don't know a lot of German music. In my teens I listened to a lot of Tokio Hotel and Nena songs. It's my first dog and Akitas are definitely NOT for beginners and so I needed practise with dogs, a lot more experience of life to be the competent leader of the pack and also a lot of reading about strict education without violence. All that for a dog, haha :D :D :D But now I have him here and love him to death! But still I wish I had learnt a lot more before adopting him, haha :D :D :D He's definitely very talented in finding my weaknesses, haha :D

Comment: Great tv serie. I grew up with "stargate SG1. I am a big fan of geek gatherings, I went to see the stargate convention with Corin Nemec.I couldn't go to the one with Richard Dean Anderson. I am a great fan of "malcolm in the middle", I watch every tv broadcast. i love dewey but i prefer Reese. Little one, I watched "murder she wrote" ("arabesque" in french), I didn't miss an episode
Response: I'm not a big convention fan - too many people.. XD But the one with Richard Dean Anderson would've been great to see. I'm kind of biased against Corin though because he was replacing Daniel. I couldn't really open up to Jonas, even if he was a good man.. It seems we have quite a similar taste in tv series ;-)

The black bread was good with cream cheese, we have rye bread in the UK which reminded me a little bit of it. I haven't yet tried anything else but they look delicious! Comment: You CAN do it. Yes, NaNo in November is the perfect time to dedicate your attention to your writing. What you write during NaNo is the draft you can then revise and polish in 2021. :) The beauty of NaNo is that you just write -- get down the bones. You can always fix and figure out in December and beyond. Let the 50K word goal challenge you to see where the characters go if you are a pantser, or to follow the outline you create now through October if you are a plotter. Either way, just write!
