Response: Yay! I almost canceled this swap. Wouldn't have been my first "swap-flop" as a host. LOL! Glad i didn't cancel though! The hairdo theme seemed like it wouldn't be too hard at first. Then when i sat down to make one and the ideas i had were harder than i expected to put together (Didn't have images or the idea was larger than the postcard.. 😂). Comment: Man, it must have been awesome to see your dad riding a 20" Huffy down the block in a suit...good memory for sure! My first steed was a read Murray "Track Certified" BMX. What a great bike! I swear, it never had a flat as long as I owned it....I miss that bike. I have a Huffy Vortex (give it a google) what was very futuristic looking, but kind of cheaply built. Good bike, but my bikes started getting significantly better when I started racing and that 'ol Heffy went to that big bike park in the sky. Best, Rick

Comment: I've never been to Vegas. I can't decide if its for me. Although its 55deg and sunny there right now, and 9deg here so ..... I wouldn't mind being there right now
Response: Well, as I mentioned in my note, it’s fun for 72 hrs. I am not big on gambling, but I do like to wander around, have some drinks and eat food. During the summer, the hotel pools are super fancy and almost fun to just go to different hotels just to use their pools. If you stay more than 72hrs, better get off the strip and see the Hoover Dam or go hiking somewhere. The weather does sound nice! We are in a cold snap as well! 🥶

But had found he had a heart attack & won't be selling anymore. Poor man! But now I don't where to buy them. As he was selling them at 15 cents a piece. I wish they had antique shops around here for PC's. But those places don't exists. I suppose since we are so rural. Anyway, Thank you again. The PC is a keeper!

Comment: Kurtis...awesome story bro! I'd be lying if I said I've never ridden 'under the influence'. I used to do a regular 'pub pedal' with buddy of mine. We've got a local venue with a punk/dive vibe that was great to run up to, tho back some PBR tallboys, and listen to some great indie punk tunes. I loved pedaling up there and having a great time. Sometimes the ride back would be 'interesting'. Thanks for the great story, I did truly enjoy it. Best, Rick P.S. The sticker handmade PC was the bomb! I've collected a lot of cycling stickers over the years and your use of them on a PC gave me inspiration.
Response: Awesome! Glad you liked the postcard! I ordered a set of 24 bicycle postcards but they weren't going to make it in time. Had pack of the bike stickers and figured a collage would maybe look like a bike shop wall or toolbox or something. Was actually really fun to make. Sorta mad I bought the other bike postcards now. :) Think I may order other types of stickers and make more PC's like these. Maybe even use some old magazines. Happy to hear you are inspired by it! Glad you like the story too. Was fun day and I can't stress enough how perfect the weather was that Sunday afternoon.

Response: I totally, agree with you! I think there needs to be another movement. a few moths ago Mark Rudd of the Weather Underground was speaking at a college near my house. By chance i wound up at an after party at the house he was staying at. he had some really interesting stories and things to say. One thing he mentioned, i totally agree, the young(my) generations are fragmented. There is one group of people here, another there, and another over there. We all are sharing existence in the same world or mall( etc.) but have different tastes in music or interests. The unity or common bonds are just not present. not 100% at least.. Nor is there a draft in place to which the youth would feel the need to go out and do something. Bush is still in office. it is a shame as much as it sucks. hey, what can we do? Attentions seems to be focused on the next president right now. so the media tells me. So I'll leave you with this quote:
