I am looking into the best sticky photo printer for my 2020 planners! :)
Response: The sticker printer I have is ancient. It's the first gen Zink: Dell Wasabi. It's more than 10 years old. It's the only one I've ever used, and I doubt it's "the best". :-)

Response: It was based on a dream /nightmare I had. In my dream the bridges were all made of Lego and kept collapsing when I walked on them. And in the end I tied the alligator to the bench and hid behind a tree and watched while she bit people! I think my dream was even worse than my story! :-) Glad you liked it!

I actually made a special order from Paper Source to get a super cute setÒ€”even though I have multiple sets already! I rationalize this behavior by saying Ò€œI can give these to my students.Ò€ Γ°ΕΈΛœβ€š OhÒ€”and I canÒ€ℒt believe it took almost 2 weeks for this to get to me. IÒ€ℒm not a postmark checker, but I just happened to see Ò€œJan 29Ò€ and was like What? But I donÒ€ℒt care as long as we still have USPS. Slow mail service is better than no mail service!
Response: I have had a lot of delays with mail lately! (both ways!) I sent something to someone 30 miles away and it took over 2 weeks! I could've crawled on my hands and knees both ways to deliver it and got it there faster! It's been happening more frequently. I have a steady penpal in Boston and usually our letters go back in forth in 3 days, but it's been taking a week or more lately. :-( but anyway! Glad you liked the swap!

Response: Who brings reptiles to a library?! That's as bad as snakes in Michaels. I used to work at a preschool and every few months they'd have "Critter Caravan"--a traveling bunch of fun animals like rabbits and chinchillas, but sometimes they'd bring the snake. They kept it in a cooler! Like one of those playmate coolers! The minute the animal handler put her hand on that cooler handle I'd book it out of there to hide in the bathroom! Looking forward to your letter! :-)

Your letter fell in my husband's tool bag, how that is, I can't find any rhyme or reason for and let me tell you, it's been a while since that thing was used. So I just found it while trying to do a quick once over of the house before my mother arrives! I enjoyed reading your letter, I'm glad you found a new appreciation for your state. If I ever make it out that way, I'll check out your donut recommendations for sure!! Also, maybe I'm crazy but I think the Babysitters Club stories were set in Connecticut...

Comment: My answer to the jeans questions is IDK because I don't wear jeans! Lol I'm an all leggings & yoga pants kinda girl :) I HATE jeans. The way they hold your belly in to the way they don't give you any room to do anything basically. If I'm going to go out and have some hot wings & a beer then I'm doing in in leggings! of course topping it off with some converse & my Mariners jersey. Thanks for the coaster! BTW, West Nyack isn't Nyack (there are also Central Nyack and Southern Nyack) - we're the suburbia, Palisades Mall one, not the quaint village-y one. Part of the Appalachian Trail goes through the Palisades Park - very nice for dog-walking, too.

Comment: I LOVE your card! Australia is one of my favorite places! I got to take a group of students there for a trip up the eastern coast from Sydney to Cairns. I also absolutely love AZ. I have lived her over 50 years, and have only seen a rattler once on a hike in the Superstition Mtns. They pretty much don't want to see you and stay away as much as they can. I have never seen a scorpion in my house although depending on where you live, that can happen. Sedona is gorgeous, and so is the Verde Valley area. So much to explore here and so many different kinds of climate and terrain. I love the desert best. Come visit!

Comment: This was an awesome read! I'd read a whole book about these kids! I love all the details that make the images pop up in my head, the peeling red painted picknick table, the little sidestory about the Bar Mitzvah, all the "Bitches". And wow did you characterize that mom and dad well....despair and craziness! I can see why you're proud of this story! The picknick table binds the story together neatly, the structure is great. Thank you for sharing this with me! <3
Response: Thank you so much! That story pretty much wrote itself--I wrote it almost all in one sitting. What I realized after I wrote it was that almost everybody had a "bad dad" --scary, absent, abusive. And usually I have so much trouble coming up with titles, but this one came so easily. Nobody's Home was loaded with meaning--the kids weren't in the house, the parents weren't in the house, the kids were all pretty invisible to the adults, and nobody really had a HOME. I am sort of kicking around a sequel to this story--what happens a year later. If I finish it I'll send it to you. Thanks for being so supportive, and hosting the group!! :-)

Response: My son usually has cat hair, his shirt collar and at least one or two fingers, depending. :-) That comment started b/c one of my friends was telling me about his daughters. One is clever, one not so much. He taught the clever one how to play chess. The not so clever one shoved the queen up her nose. I found that so hilarious! Comment: Thanks for sharing! Definitely some stuff to check out on Spotify. My trick [because I have external speakers with an external volume control for my computer] is to turn the sound down on the external control during the ads. They still play, but I don't hear them. But I don't always do that, as I can usually just block them out, as I do with commercials on TV.
Response: That is a genius idea. I have external speakers too, and I never would have thought of that. I'm just so used to hitting the button on the keyboard. THANK YOU! :-D You may have saved my sanity.

Comment: Nice playlist! I'm upset about Grooveshark as well, I've been using Spotify for couple of months now, but the commercials are quite annoying. Still better than listening to the radio, though.
