Comment: I love that you found a postcard with a sunset and the quote on it! this is one of my favorite quotes, so it is good to have someone share it. I am a g'ma, too, although a good bit older than you, but we seem to share quite a few things judging by your profile. (sorry, I do love The Princess Bride -- and Mandy Patinkin1) My family used to have reunions at Mountain Lake Hotel where Dirty Dancing was filmed. My dad always said his grandfather remembered when there was just a spring there, then the cows tromped down the outlet for the spring and the lake filled up! I doubt that was true, but it makes a great story! I hope we get to swap again. Happy swapping!

I was confused for a second when you wrote about vintage postcards since there weren't any, but I love the thing you did include :) I will be writing you back definitely! And getting you a guide to cheaper international posting- my friend send something of a similar weight a few weeks back and it only cost her like $3 in total xx
Response: Glad you liked the thigs I sent. The ‘vintage’ postcards are the ones that have scenes from Washington DC. I acquired them at an estate sale and I dated them to mid-70’s. That seemed like vintage to me. I am new to postcards so I may be wrong.
I look forward to finding a way to send things cheaper. I do a lot of swaps overseas and they do get pricey.

Comment: I started to rate this last night and discovered I only sent 2 of the 3...had to go send the other one! I like to sew, too, but never had a Pfaff machine. I have a Singer at the moment but before our house burned, I had 2 White "jeans machines" that I loved. I taught both of my granddaughters to sew and do a lot of other things none of their friends know how to do (I homeschooled them and am homeschooling their little brother, now.)
Have a great 2016!! Merry Christmas, too.
