Response: Thank you for giving me my 500th "5" rating. This was a fun swap. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Response: Did you get 2 of the same card? I have tons of Christmas cards ... I'd be happy to send you a different design if you like. ;)
Response: I'll send one out to you right away. They are pretty neat postcards although some are somewhat gruesome.
Response: I made the BookCrossing postcards for the 2011 Convention BCinDC. The website on the postcard still works.
I took photos and printed them at Vistaprint.com ... I'm glad that you like them!
Response: 3/13/12 - The ladybugs are rubber stamps. I only wish I could draw like that! I lived in the DC area for a few years and became interested in Civil War history. I purchased the postcard as part of a booklet set at one of the battlefields. I'm glad that you liked it!
Response: 3/13/12 - I live in a very small town and found the postcard at the Tecumseh Historical Society Museum. The Opera House is still standing but the street level part has been converted and houses other businesses now. To get a "modern" postcard I would have to go to the next town over. ;)
Response: 3/12/12 - I had a lot of fun with this swap. Since I can't draw stick people convincingly I decorated the letter with stickers which I used as an ispiration for my wild story. I hope you don't ask me too many questions because like any web of lies the risk of it unraveling is imminent. I look forward to your letter and perhaps it will be the basis of a penpal relationship.
Response: When you come visit me you can snarf Barnard School, the only National Register site in Tecumseh, OK. :)
Response: 3/13/12 - I knew I would have to write small and neat to get all the info on the postcard. I hope you didn't need a magnifying glass to read it! I've never read Caddie Woodlawn and I have no idea why. I'm going to put it on my reading list.
Response: 3/13/12 - Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am a "luck" photographer. I take tons of pictures and most turn out in the fair to good range and those are fine for home scrapbooks. Occasionally I get one photo that pleases me and then I use vistaprint.com to turn it into a postcard that I hope others enjoy. I love trading postcards!
Response: The original card was mailed on December 5, 2011. After inquiring I realized that the card was never received and I sent a replacement on January 18, 2012.
I am glad that we got everything resolved. Thank you for the rating and the heart!
Response: I like Vistaprint because there is almost always a special deal and I never pay for things other than shipping cost. And there are so many items to choose from!
Response: Did you finally get the original postcard or is this for the replacement that I sent?
Response: This postcard was mailed on November 10, 2011. Sent messages 12/13/11 and 1/13/12 asking for the rating.
Response: This postcard was mailed November 14,2011.
Response: Yep, it was a quick turn around swap and evidently the PO has decided they are now only going to be open for two hours on Saturday! I was there at 11:20 thinking that they closed at noon. The post office was closed on Jan 2nd for the holiday so there were no postmarks for that day. I needed stamps before I could mail and thought that I would get them on Sat. But WOW! I mailed on the 3rd and you got it by the 5th ... that's some quick moving for after a holiday!
Response: Response to 3 rating: 1/4/12: My apologies ... I had other Christmas card swaps that were just send a nice greeting and I must have forgotten to talk of my Christmas plans. It would have been nice and polite if you would have messaged me before giving me a 3. I am happy to re-send to make up for the mistake. Would you like a re-send?
I am heartbroken over the 3 rating and I wish my other partners to know that I take swapping seriously and this was a simple mistake that could have been taken care of in just a minute if I would have just been told about it before the rating was given.
Edited: 1/5/12: Thank you so much for giving me a chance to make it right and the quick communication. I'm happy that we got something worked out that makes everyone happy!
Response: I am curious to know if this is for the original card I mailed on Nov 8, 2011 or the re-send that I mailed on December 20, 2011?
Response: I mailed this swap on November 14, 2011.
Response: This swap was mailed November 14, 2011.
Response: This swap was mailed November 14, 2011.
Response: I mailed this swap on Oct 22, 2011.
Response: I mailed this swap on October 5, 2011.
Response: I got it at Vistaprint.com - It cost a few dollars to upload the picture of my little mascot Chip but other than that it is mostly just shipping charges. I get LOTS of things from Vistaprint!
Response: The best way to get to know BookCrossing is to go check out the website - Bookcrossing.com - it is a wonderful place to make friends, share books, and have fun!
Response: On the cards I have made at Vistaprint if you look at the photo credit it has my screenname. (It is sideways on the dividing line of the postcard.) On other postcards I always write my screenname at the top.
Sometimes I get wordy and the post office insists on using those weird barcode things! Glad you figured it out!
Response: I got them at Dollar General. When I went back to get more they were out though. Good Luck in finding some!
Update: 11/12/11 - I got the Thank You card from your son today. I love Snoopy and it was a very nice touch!
