I have a note to ensure I return here and let you know what I found inside...I can hardly wait! Hugs, Mona Wow is all I can say. It was like you knew me. I adore the vintage cats. I took them to work and put them on my desk. They were a big hit! The journal was amazing and in the theme I love, sun and moon! Comment: OMG OMG OMG I wish I could give extra hearts. Everything in the box came intact including the wonderful glass bell ornament (Did you make that yourself?) It is just super stunning, and the box is stunning! And the black kitty candle holder is adorable! I love love love it all. I am so glad that the postoffice didn't break anything even though they gave it their best try. Oh and my cat wrangler failed and my cat enjoyed everything just as much as I did.

I SAT DOWN ON THE COUCH AND DID NOT MOVE until I'd inspected the entire package and then just went through each piece again in sheer wonderment! I receive excellent art here at VIA. But your work transcended "excellence"...NEVER have I received a work that paid so much attention to every detail...down to the bag on which you hand-sewed Halloween buttons! Oh Mandy, I SO feel you with the "empty nest syndrome"...I had 3 children in 3 years, and it seemed like they all left at once. And if I'm not a hands-on mother any more, what exactly AM I to do? I love that you have filled your days with kitty love,,.I also have signed on to volunteer at the local cat shelter (but I have to wait until at least a month after my foot surgery, which will be 7/12), I can hardly wait! As I sit here typing this, I have one kitty on my lap (left side), one on the armrest of the recliner (right side), and one on the footrest, between my knees! My babies! I lost my focus here...back to your Gothic arch lady! I'm going to post a swap in the next month or so with an Agnieska Lorek forest fairy theme! Response: LOL! I just can't believe the level of pettiness of some people. I truly do pity them because they must be upset about something during every waking minute. My mom has collected antique paper my entire life. She also has hoards of reproductions. I think she got that particular image sometime in the 80s. She has an entire map chest filled with antique scrap and she does about 5 antique feather trees decorated with antique ornaments every year at Christmas time. I will try to remember to send you some pics of them. My mom liked the book cover so much that I made for you that she insisted that I make one for her too. I am so pleased that you love it. I am also happy that you saw fit to give me a heart even though, if you check the post mark, you will see that I mailed it a couple days past the deadline. (insert gasp here. ) I wish you a very MERRY Christmas. :)

Comment: I love the ATC you made. The pocket to hold the inchie is such a great idea. Season 4 Freak Show of AHS was very hard for me to watch since clowns freak me out. But it was such a good story line I had to watch. I'm having trouble watching this season's Hotel, so I'm only on episode 3.

Comment: What's not to love about a gorgeous pink gem of a matchbox nestled in clouds of sweet tulle inside a beautifully decorated box? I love it!! What a treat! Thanks so much. I love the eclectic mix of treasures inside too. One small note. One of the beads used as feet fell off. I would usually take away the heart for that but since I adore what you sent and because it was an easy fix, it's all good! But maybe next time use a stronger glue like a dimensional epoxy on top of spray paint. I use Ranger's Glossy Accents for this type of thing. Just FYI.

Comment: The first thing I saw when I opened the package was the gorgeous bundle of lace with that ever-so-lovely brooch pin... I actually gasped with delight! The bottle itself is magnificent- I love how you used the dictionary definition and added the skull pendant. Is the bottle itself vintage? The cork is in impeccable shape so I wasn't able to figure out if it was genuinely vintage or not. I have my own collection of vintage glass bottles so receiving one that reminded me of their simple beauty made me really happy. I also adore the flower you created and so does my 4 year old daughter who went crazy for it! It has been a real pleasure receiving from you. I was nervous as it's been a long time since I joined any swaps outside of my THA group, but this has been a wonderful experience for me. THANK YOU! P.S. Response: I guess the post office made a mistake. I would never put delivery confirmation on a swap. I get so irritated when I get one of those cards and have to make a trip to the post office. Sorry. Don't know why it happened but glad you liked the atc.
