Enjoyed your note on the lovely Paris card: isn't it such fun hunting for treasures at reuse shops! None near me, though, except for thrift stores which have high prices and hardly any postcards. Our library stopped displaying local ad cards during Covid and has never started it again - boo. Like you, I do have so much stash though! Loved the Winnie the Pooh postage, also. Comment: I would say what I love most about November end is the waterfalls after the first snow. It's cold but no one is there because of that. I am sorry to be so late in rating your swap. I'm not being lazy, but have been really sick for the last month. This long illness ended with me in the ER twice and 1 Urgent Care in 5 days. My visit to Urgent Care got me in an ambulance and in the hospital after more evaluation in the ER. They are still unclear about what caused my whole body to tailspin and I could have had seizures or even passed away. This has been scary!
So, I want to say Thank You for your generosity and kindness over this last month. Thank You for your caring swap and for a GREAT swap. Happy Swapping until we meet again.

The city of Launceston looks beautiful. Your in-laws must have a wonderful PC collection from their travels. I've never been to Australia either but would like to visit one day.

Comment: Hey there Kathy! So great to get a swap from you! Thanks so much for the Smoky the bear PC! I haven't ever seen one of these PC's before. They had them to buy on Postcardbliss.com to buy. But they were all sold out & fast too! I know it's first come first serve. But when they announce what PC's they have, I never quite it to be first serve, Ha! So, Like you, I love Lantern press PC's! Unlike you, I have seen my fair share of bears. More than care to see too. We live atop a mountain & we have a huge wooded area out back of our house. And, we have a field of wild strawberries, that the bears & deer love. We try to make sure we get our fair share of strawberries, so I can make Jam from them. But 2 summers ago, while picking strawberries, there was a huge black bear near by, that I didn't know was there. All of a sudden I heard crashing noises & looked up just in time to see the black bear running at me. OMG, Did I ever scream bloody murder! My DH heard me & came running out with his shot gun. He fired a few shots & that bear stopped dead in his tracks. Thank god above! I'll tell you what, I keep that shot gun with me anymore when picking strawberries. Clearly that bear didn't want me there & I made sure to stay in the house the rest of the day! But talk about a pounding heart! Mine was for sure!

Believe it or not, I lived in Oshawa for a few years right after I met and married my hubby! We now live northwest of Oshawa in Mount Albert. It’s a tiny suburb right in the middle of corn fields and horse farms. Hope this pandemic is soon settled down enough to visit again.

I love them Thanks also for the lovely bike and typewriter images and oh my, that letter press bicycle is fantastic! So kind of you to write on the bottom half of the card so I can use the top! So far I have just collected the Golden Books because I have such fond memories from my childhood and reading them to my kids and I love certain illustrators but I do want to create a journal or 2 with some. Thanks also for such a lovely envelope - the map, bicycle stamps and washi, cute Winnie the Pooh postage (even Pooh at Disney World!!!), typewriter washi -- I think the entire envelope will go in a journal. You sure amazed me and truly brightened my day!

Comment: Thank you for the lovely swap, i don't know where to start. The deco on the envelopes is fab, is that Washi on the back? The stamps are also gorgeous. I'll definitely use the Gryffindor sticker and the mini bucket list. I've been fascinated by Mandalas for a while and trying to learn to draw/dot them and the rangoli on the card is a lovely example. I recently started to scan old family photo's so I've been looking at some wedding photo's taken from the 40's 50's 60's and 70's. Definitely a very different style to mine and modern photography with the advent of digital. 🙂

I had planned to visit it again this year - guess it would be possible now - but I decided not to travel abroad this year. Another great city is Arezzo, I visited the *Giostra del Saracino* and loved it.

RE: my letter-writing project - you don't have to go back. Just start counting now if you wish to have such a project. One of my guidelines was that it always had to be handwritten. Anything typed on a typewriter or printed out didn't count. I also had a tendency to not have two names in a row. So if I wrote to a Jane Smith on Tuesday, I was less inclined to write to the same lady until I wrote to someone else. So my list wasn't all one person. Very weird quirk and I couldn't understand why it irked me otherwise.

Response: Hi D. Thanks for rating. Glad you got my card. Will start counting as of today. For #InCoWriMo I usually just pick names randomly from the people who post their addresses. I always start Day 1 with a letter to a penpal who got me back into letter writing. Always hand written.

I'm like you, I love receiving the card when there is a letter included, even if it's a small note, I love letters. My mother in law was a letter writer and I guess I have picked that up from her but not many people like to write letters anymore. There are beautiful stamps if a person really looks at them, I always go and buy different ones for my swaps just in case a person collects only pretty ones. We often go to a seafood restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf when we visit SF; RIGHT outside the back door, the boats pull up to drop off fish. It's amazing. Thanks again!

Comment: What a neat postcard! I didn't know you could visit the biosphere. I can't imagine being locked in with my coworkers for 2 years. Comment: I was so happy to get your many postcards of Canadian cities. Summer of 2017 my husband and I drove our 4 kids from Las Vegas to Edmonton for a road trip vacation. So many people asked us why we picked Edmonton as our destination. We dont really know why, but we loved it We drove out to Vegreville and spent a day in Fort Edmonton. Such an awesome trip!!! I love your country!!! Thanks for the PC's and the extra stickers for.my planners.

Also, I absolutely understand the tripe exclamation points to express excitement!!! I do that too especially with close friends.😊 I'm so happy to hear about the kitten that chose you! It's always so difficult to open up your heart when a pet passes away. But after some time has passed and your heart can finally take a new pet, it's always so beautiful. Comment: Beautiful card! I have been to Lake Louise but not in winter -- a friend and I did the trans-Canada train trip about 10 years ago. Also, we have driven to AK more than once, so I have passed through Edmonton -- even spent a little time at The Mall! I love that after you leave there all the road signs just say Alaska! Maybe someday I will get back. Thanks for bringing up some good memories, and happy swapping.
