Response: Ah, thanks. He's working on it! He won't admit it, but his stay in the hospital did a world of good. He just likes complaining about it. I hope things with your dad improve. It's not fun to be in and out of the hospital.
Response: Ugh, right!? We just got a cold front yesterday. I don't trust it.
Response: That's too early for Title Wave... it's in the Northern Lights Shopping Center in Spenard (at Northern Lights & Minnesota). I love Anchorage. It's such a laid back place. I also worked at the GIGANTIC JC Penny's downtown for a short time. The time you were there is the exact time I know nothing. My dad grew up in Palmer, but he left in 1969 and visited his sister periodically in the 70s, and then not again until 1999. I lived there 2005-2013.
Response: Why am I always having a bad day when I write to you!?
Response: Yay! My 1000th 5. :)
Response: Good to hear. I like that this site introduces me to people in places I might not have thought of otherwise. I'm glad you like the card.
Response: And thank you for the heart
Response: :) Thanks, you too. Thank you for the heart.
Response: I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the heart.
Response: You're welcome. Thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: I've been keeping my postcards in binders, but I'm thinking I might need some out to look at and change out.
Response: Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you liked it.
Response: I can't believe the card I sent you! I didn't mean for it to be prophetic. Please stay safe.
Response: Thanks for the kind words. I needed a small break, but I'm back to it this week. I hope to see you in swaps
Response: :) It was meant to be. I hope your friend is doing okay
Response: We did sort of an altered version of Shannon Green's Journaling by 5s (http://shannongreen.blogspot.com/2015/02/journaling-by-5s.html). . We were also inspired by a couple of Jennibellie videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVopeG2lo9E & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy9EsMhgams ... We did 10 backgrounds for paintings. We did swap 5 each halfway through too, so some of mine aren't only by me. It was fun and now i have a clear direction for 10 paintings to complete later.
Response: That stamp was a cheap eraser, so I just drew my image in pencil and then used an X-acto knife. I'm going to try foam next, which I understand you can carve into with a sharpened pencil.
Response: Thanks for my 600th heart!
Response: Thank you for the heart
Response: Oh no! I thought I got them glued down well. Maybe my glue was old. It was some that I found that was almost empty. Do you want a new one? So sorry about that.
Response: It was fun to do. I'm glad you liked it.
Response: I thought I had never heard of that book, but I looked it up and it is very familiar. I spent several years in the Children's section of a used bookstore, so I either remember it from there or from my childhood.
Response: Something told me you might like it.
Response: I'm glad you liked it.
Response: Thanks for the heart. I know, we get each other all the time! And I'm okay with that.
Response: I'm so glad it was a hit!
Response: I'm glad to know I'm not alone
Response: I am, thank you!
Response: I can't remember which card I sent you. If it was a woodpecker, then yes. I have some of my art on postcards.
Response: Thanks, I was worried it was too subtle.
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: Which stamp did I use? I like to use a variety, and add postage stamp stickers too.
Response: I was on the fence about the "love you", but I decided that Valentine's warranted it... I'm trying to not overthink my swaps. I used to do that and they'd take me hours to complete.
Response: Did you get the one with fur? Because I don't know what that is. I did a stack of Chinese postcards for this swap.
Response: Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. It must've known who wanted it. I had that one over a year and was waiting for the right person to send it to.
Response: I can't believe I did that! I'm happy to make a new one. I'll get a correct one out today.
Response: Yep yep. Merry Christmas
Response: I almost put white winter hymnal by pentatonix as one of my favs... Also not very Christmassy, but I love it
Response: You're welcome. I'm not sure it was effective as my idea for it, but I enjoed the swap
Response: Anytime! Merry Christmas
Response: Oh, I so hope you get to make soap. My brother recently met a young girl who does that in OKC. She is being homeschooled so she can make soap during the day. I'm torn about that, but I fully support more making of things.
Response: Sorry for the message! I overlooked the rating! :)
Response: Yay! I just watched a DVD of The Nutcracker. I love going to see it live, but the 1987 DVD makes me happy. I especially like the Arabian Dance & Chinese Dance.
Response: Burl Ives (as the snowman) is really the MC of Christmas for me. In my brain, he's narrating the whole season.
Response: The previous Pentatonix Christmas album did nothing for me at all, but this year's is fantastic. I'm in love with White Winter Hymnal, which isn't even a Christmas song. :)
Response: I love that song too! I recently learned that Gayla Peevey is from Oklahoma and I was entirely too proud about that.
Response: I hope there are enough to make me happy, but I can only trust myself to make them if lots of people are over to eat them before I do... because, well, midnight will happen.
Response: I'm so glad you liked it.
Response: I'm glad you liked it.
Response: It always makes me happy when cards I love (and send out) come back to me. I'm glad you liked it.
Response: I told him. He just raised an eyebrow, so I'm not sure what will happen. Keep your fingers crossed!
Response: I'm so glad you liked the mushroom art. My nephew suggested the Mario mushrooms on the back.
Response: I was so fussy about the placement of flowers. The wavy lines were accidental. I thought it was pretty amusing.
Response: That's so nice to hear! Thank you.
Response: Oh, I'm so happy you liked them. I really enjoyed making them.
Response: OH no! I'm sorry about that. I usually write the swap down the center of the card. I hope I'm not getting too comfortable for the details.
Response: I'm glad you liked them. I was afraid I had gone so far out of the box that I had gotten into a different box.
I thought cutting the burlap into ATC size made the skeletons on it look really bizarre. I liked that part a lot.
Response: Delicatessen!!! Yes, check it out. It's by the director of Amelie. It is definitely the one to check out from my list. Beautifully shot.
Response: I'm glad you like them. I showed them to my nephew before I sent them. He was skeptical. Then again, he's 13. I believe skeptical is just his normal state of being.
Response: I'm glad you liked her.
Response: That's too bad! I don't know why they've got to let the mail get so wet. :(
Response: Thanks. That one was hard for some reason... I'm glad you enjoyed it. I am so jealous of your house. I wish I had the guts to make such a bold statement. I'm just moving in, so I'm going to find a way to do something out of the box like that! Thanks for inspiring me.
Response: You're too kind! I wonder if I'll find something for you... I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Response: :) I just love Edward S Curtis' photos. The problem with that postcard book is that I love each one more than the last and want to keep them all. I had to force myself to use them; I want others to enjoy his work as well. I have a book for goodness sake. Hoarding! The struggle is real....
Response: I kinda love all 3 of those, but they sure got thick! Sorry about that... It was the first time I tried attaching to a playing card. Lots of extra bulk. I'm hoping to send that character through all 50 states.
Response: Thank you! I'm working on my handwriting. I didn't use it for years, so it's rough.
Response: I'm glad you liked it!
