I was a great first week. Bless you for teaching the littles. YAY! for a bigger classroom. I have. pretty big room too and it has window too. We rarely turn on the lights, the natural light is perfect. I cheat and painted all my bulletin boards so don't need to put on paper. Can change it up with borders. I went online and purchased the book, thanks for the recommendation. Hugs!!!

My little cat got a face full of foil dust and I had to brush and blow it out of her face! I enjoyed the challenge, but I won’t be using that again! 🤓

Comment: I'm still a bit confused by ATC's but it's the first one I receive ! I always work on postcard size, I have to admit it's an interesting format to work on, I might try ! This swap was super fun to make and I like your ATC ! (I think it takes waaaaaay more patience to work with kids than to work with people with cognitive neurodegeneration ! At least if they're too annoying, I just have to disappear for a few minutes and when I come back they completely forgot what they were annoying about lol, Bravo to you !) Have a nice day !

Response: Oh no, thank you for letting me know! I clearly didn't read carefully enough..or forgot when I actually sat down to create...and I've done a few of the same series and sadly may have oriented them in error. I'll do the next ones correctly now.

Comment: Hi Deborah, I love how these turned out. This was my first attempt at dyeing papers and what I did for the pink was I used beet juice. We just happened to have a bottle of beet juice my husband had purchased but didn’t like and that worked great and I added beet powder again I randomly had that even though it’s not normally something I buy. When I combined these two things it made the paper super dark and I used a low ratio of water to juice… mostly just juice. Oh and I pretreated my papers with milk that was supposed to help get it to absorb. The directions said soy milk but I used buttermilk. After I added baking soda to help it set.

Response: I'm not 100% sure b/c it's been a while but probably they were not gel pens, they were Posca paint pens. (Sometimes I use a Uniball Signo white gel pen too, but lately I'm getting better results with the Poscas.)

I already have plans for the bath soak and hot tea tonight then lotion up!! I love the stamps, washi beautiful purple note book. It can get chilly down here 28-30 is the normal cold usually in late Dec -Jan. I dont care much for it, aggravates my fibro and arthritis, thus I love the warm temps here. Lats week lows were 38. High today was 75!! LOL so many ppl get sick due to fast change. Thank you again for making my day esp after a cruddy day at work. Right now I send you a gentle hug and a big smile!!!

Response: Glad you liked it! I used to speak French and Spanish fairly well, but I don't any longer. I started learning Hebrew in college and really learned because of immersion/living/working in the country. I also learned so much from listening to music in Hebrew.

Response: So glad you liked it all. I did the marbling with a product called Marabu marbling paints. They weren't too pricey and though there was a bit of a learning curve, you get pretty results.

Response: Glad you liked it. I used a product called Easy Marble by Marabu for the marbling. You can find instructions on youtube. The paint is floated on top of water, swirl it, then lay paper on it and lift. Like magic!

Response: Yes - the image transfer technique is still hit and miss for me...and still more misses than hits. So finicky and depends on how much paint and how the image looks and how long to leave it and so on and so on....!!!!!

Comment: I am so happy that you used the fake-embossing-sand-technique again! I fogot to tell you that this was (for me) the coolest part of the first tag. Response: So glad you like them - and that you will know to make two of them. I confess, I recently made about 8 ATCoins for swaps and they were all different...so I'm not sure which ones went to you. But, none of them had gel pen backgrounds. If one of yours had a marbled background that was kind of shiny/smooth, it was done with Marabu Easy Marble paints. If you want to PM me for more info, please feel free. Enjoy!

Response: So so glad you like it. I loved making it! (No Distress Oxides used...I think you are talking about the edges??...all I did was a cosmetic wedge pounced onto a black inkpad and then lightly brushed around the edges of the tag...instant aging/shadowing!!...one of my fave techniques)

Response: Oh I'm sorry about folding them; I kind of wanted to get them in the mail but didn't have an envelope large enough; will keep in mind for the future to have the right size on hand. (Hopefully, though, the creases will come out, or, if you're like me, you will not use the whole sheet but use it cut or torn up as collage items.:))
