Isn't it amazing that this project ended up so beautifully when you know how uninspired it was at the beginning! Your cover is lovely - really like the woman's image and the doilies and pretty die cut you used. And what a fantastic job you made of covering the insides with the greatest assortment and variety of papers. I loved how easy that was but how effective it was at creating so much interest. Love the little notebook and you tucked so many goodies inside the pockets. The TH tags are awesome and love the playing cards and papers. This really is just a very special portfolio, and I thank you again so much!!

Comment: Rose, your altered box, which you also made yourself, is wonderful! The box is certainly Tim Holtz from top to bottom and filled with terrific little extras inside. Your box cam in the midst of our moving from house that sold in 2 weeks into a nice apartment while waiting for a new house to be built in a lovely community for those 55 and up. The only thing I don't like about that is getting to hear the kiddos playing on our block and those walking home from the elementary school in our neighborhood. But our two kids (see profiled) will be visiting often I hope just as when we were in the original house. Anyway, the box arrived and I kept it in my possession carefully during the move so that it never got lost in the last minute rush to be ready for the movers. It is so pretty and SO Tim Holtz! Thanks so much for a terrific box! I wish I could give you MANY hearts!

Comment: Wow, this is a GREAT card! Obviously, you have an embossing/die cutting machine. Do you mind if I ask what kind? I am going to ask for an embossing machine for Christmas and I don't know which one I want! (As an aside, the card smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. I'm going to try a couple of tricks to see if I can get it aired out, but I thought you should know.)
Response: Sorry about that, I don't smoke in my craft room, because of that.. However I left the card by my computer desk so thats probably how it smell of cigs. Yes I have a embossing machine, Its a Tim Holtz Vagabond. A little pricey but its well worth it, I have had the cuttlebug and the spellbinders and the Big shot, machines, but in my opinion the vagabond is the best. Glad you liked the card.

The Carson City railroad card has a funny typo on the back - it says that construction began in 1869 and service between V. City and C. City started in 1970--101 years later. I'm sure they meant 1870!

I love everything about it - the embellishments on the outside, how you lined the inside and the trinkets you filled it with. The photo corners are great - did you make them?
