Comment: I so appreciate you taking the time, looking at my profile to send me things that could REALLY make me SMILE. Thank you so much. The last item I got was a package that arrived in a CARE bag from the post office, ripped open. It held a wonderful kitchen towel from San Francisco and some Paper Mate pens. I hope nothing was lost. Previously, you sent me address labels, sticky notes, more kitchen towels and napkins. Everything was so very nice. I felt spoiled. Hope you are enjoying the Autumn Season. We have a colorful palette of leaves and cooler air (this morning was 39 degrees).

I loved seeing the parts that made up your sisters wedding. I remember dress shopping and I loved it but it was so stressful trying to find that perfect dress. I love what she went with and your nails looked fab! I also loved the baby announcement - what a fun way to include everyone :D

It was on on Saturdays and the neighborhood kids (my brother is older) would come over and we would all watch and enjoyJiffy Pop popcorn. I've seen Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein a lot! You should also watch the original Nosferatu (Dracula). It's in black and white, but worth seeing 🦇🦇🦇 like you, I'm not into gorey movies. No stories, only "shock factor". I struggle with set length of letters/ writing, so I did have to make it more "write every day" rather than "you HAVE TO write so much a day". My brain doesn't help! :( Hope you are able to keep up with the process and it helps! :) I like your idea of using up old books and shredded each day, too! :)

Comment: I received your email and enjoyed reading about what you would do if you visited Tulsa. I've been to the zoo several times and it probably would not compare to yours. It's fine but we don't seem to have a lot of animals or they don't come out whenever I go. But the train is fun to ride around the zoo. I have been to the cave house on a spooky ghost tour with a friend and it was pretty cool. It was tiny so if you have claustrophobia I would not recommend it. Tally's is good for maybe a one-time visit just to see it. Abuelos and Casa Tequila are both pretty good. I love Mexican food and we go to Ricardo's a lot. I have not visited The outsiders House museum but I do want to. I've seen pieces of the movie but never the whole thing. Poteau is about 2 hours from Tulsa. We have not been there because they don't have any flea markets. I looked at some of the things to do and the Heavener Rubestone Park is about 15 minutes from Poteau. Warehouse Willy's in Poteau looks good. It's a steakhouse. Trader Joe's in Tulsa is a little expensive for me so I don't shop there a lot

Comment: Thank you for your virtual visit. Jonas Grill is really good. They have greek food and the gyros with tzatziki is so yummy. I have been to Parktheater a few times it is was always good.
I had to look up Geierhöhle IBSV on google and I am not sure if it is a restaurant. It says it is the clubhouse of a marksmen's club :-) Hope that you will get the chance to visit Germany and Netherlands one day. There are so many nice places to visit.

Updated 8/13/2022: The first postcard you sent showed up in my mailbox - the Elvis Presley. The postmark was May 16th, 2022, Oakland. So the postcard took almost 3 months to travel 42 miles. It is unbelievable! Thank you so much. I love the postcard.

I don’t mean to freak you out, but I somehow knew that UB40 was going to play out somehow. I’ve been thinking about it for days. I saw them at Canada’s Wonderland and I was 15. Thanks for the card! Response: The “mail by” date of 12/27 hasn’t come yet, I planned to mail Monday (within time frame), I’ve been going back in to add pictures to make more fun. update: Sent 12/27 within stated requirement tracking 9500 1066 8076 1361 7778 53 UPDATE: didn’t think to give a heads up when I was sending within required time, I’ve never burned anyone or flaked, not ever. Glad it arrived.

I enjoyed reading your letter as I learned a little more about you. Your handwriting was JUST FINE. I'm not sure if you have told me what happened to your wrist, I can't recall. I hope it's getting better. Since my surgery, I have had a few hurdles, all of which have slowed my recovery. Just today, I was thrown another hurdle. I just think tomorrow will be better. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't happen, but I wait a few more days and often I'm not disappointed. It is so interesting about sisters. My sister that wants me to come live with her has changed a GREAT DEAL over her life so far. We never got along when we were growing up. She also gave our Mom a lot of trouble. As an adult, she became our Mom's strongest advocate. She has done that for me, as well. So, have faith and know anything can happen. Thank you for the book suggestion and it sounds like something I would like to read. So, it will go to my library as a request and I will read it. I love books. I do read with Kindle, but I still love holding a real book in my hands. So, I always find time do that as well. Again. thanks for the GREAT LETTER!
Please know that it was a pleasure to swap with you. I do hope we have more chances to swap with one another. I enjoy Swap-bot so much, I get to create, but more importantly, I also make some friends along the way.
Colorado continues to have mail issues. Mail going out and Mail coming in continues to be slow. I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you for the "New Yorker" postcard you sent with your note for this swap. I was in San Francisco probably 30-35 years ago. I went for vacation with friends/family. I loved the trip and the weather. I'm sure the city has changed a lot in 30 years.
Our weather, today, in Colorado is snowy and cold. It is suppose to snow all of Saturday. We are to get heavy snow tonight which will leave a foot or more and cripple the city for a couple days. It is suppose to snow much of the day and night on Sunday.
It was wonderful to have you as my swap partner. I am sure we have swapped before and its always nice to meet up with previous swappers. Over the last 2-3 months, almost all my swap partners are new to my swap experience, with a meet-up with swapper friends periodically.
Colorado continues to have mail issues, both coming in and going out. Please be patient. Thank you!

I went to the Art Institue for my schooling, but they've since closed down (long story). My best advice would be for her to start keeping multiple sketchbooks now as well as looking up on Youtube people working in the field/art style she's interested in, also looking at people's portfolios too! My one regret was stopping drawing when I was her age, it made me feel like I was behind in school. A course that has worked for my roommate is doing a few years at a JC in illustration first and then transferring to a UC and finishing off two years there. Cal State Fullerton has a lot of great art programs! My past teacher teaches there sometimes, and so does a man by the name of Cliff Cramp that does official Star Wars paintings for Disney. This is getting long- but I love helping with this stuff, so don't be afraid to reach out!! <3

Just wanted to let you know I received a package with a beautiful card, a GIRGEOUS hand towel, some sweet stickers, and two beautifully wrapped goodies. I am feeling totally spoiled! It's so sweet of you to think of me during this time â¤ï¸ Received the super fun chicken themed mail today! Did you make all this...because I am so loving the little stationary and I've never seen anything like it! You are just too, too sweet! Just opened up the remainder of my mail I received Friday and Saturday and found a lovely package filled with planner goodies! I used an EC last year, and found I really enjoyed lots of the aspects of it, but felt like it was really larger than I needed...this year I've got a no name one that I'm using until I decide for sure whether I want to get a lime life or another EC. I got my cat mail today! I just can't say enough how spoiled you've made me! Can you just send to me for always and forever?

Comment: For the lemon balm salve - the very first time I made it, and the easiest, I just melted Vaseline and put the lemon balm in it, let it steep for a few minutes, then strained it. It worked beautifully. I have since moved on to olive oil and beeswax. But for ease in getting started, I would recommend the Vaseline. Thank you for the card, I love it!

Comment: Thank you for the card! Good luck with your garden. Lemon balm is my very favorite herb - it has anti viral properties. I make a salve with it that I use when I feel fever blisters coming on. It works really fast! Thank you again for the card!
